Ok, WTF. A fucking noob got a party invite before me. It is one thing to get stuck with a noob when no one is around, but to have a choose standing right beside your party. Not to mention I had been helping out with some emergence cures, since a friend of mine was in the party. Which would have you picked?

I stood there watching him. He did not cast a single spell. Not even a Cure, after I had to cast a Cure III on my friend because the mages where getting behind. I’d put real money down the guy didn’t even have dispel. Not that it was needed but still.

Beside me is a rank 2 level 40 RDM with an underleveled sub, no search comment and god knows what equipment.....He got picked first....

I am a Rank 1 Warrior, no Sub, with best Equipment possible (also excluding +1), a Search Comment and a Great Axe on my back. At an Average I wait 3 hours for an Invite. I guess I'm just a N00b like that :lol:

plus i have a generally considered bad sub, (was getting bitched out for it today... both of 'em)

I'm a white mage and what irks me is when people pick someone else based solely on the fact that they're a taru. >_< I got turned down in favor of a Taru WHM with an underleveled sub. I didn't check him but he didn't seem to have up to date equipment from his char model. I have all spells (even erase) and the best equipment I can buy (Except for jungle stone but i'm working on it).... Grrrrr.

Menu, Search, at the bottom in a yellow box is "Edit Comment". It doesn't save itself, so you have to rewrite it everytime you log in. Enjoy.

Maybe the noob was friends with someone in the party? That happens a lot. Someone says: "Hey, invite xXsupernoobXx! I've partied with him once and got exp!" The leader complies and noone has the heart to kick the gimp they just invited.

In this case, the party leader just invited the guy, even after my friend in the party requested twice to invite me, but in hind sight I guess it was a good thing. They only had a few battles with this guy and then the whole party disbanded. As for my equipment, I do not have the all the +1 stuff, but I do have the proper and decent equipment for my level. That guy didn’t even have that. As to how I keep up to date, I stop leveling at key levels until I have at least decent equipment and the spells I need. It is getting harder and harder since at level 30, prices on everything shoot up to 10 to 30k just for the decent stuff, and people still complain that I should have this item or that item.

lol yea i was bringing my nin up thru the dunes, and i was lfp near selbina right next to another nin (wearing no rings/earrings/lvl 8armor/lvl 7 katanas) when a pt of all tarus (mind you mainly underleveled, underequipped) came and inspected me and the other nin ( I assume because he asked the taru if he liked the gear).

Inspects me "wow" then invites the other nin lol. I ask him why and he said you gear is too good you must be a high lvl asshole ~ or something very close along those lines. I just smiled at him and wished him luck, but decided to follow the pt. (Mind you both nins lvl 16). 1 nin had no utsusemi, 2 didnt provoke (lvl 5 war sub), 3 they tried to fight a goblin first fight, and after ping ponging around for 2 mins the first bomb dropped every one of them lol.

Then the taru sent me a tell saying why didnt I help? LOL

Made me appreciate the dunes, highlight of my day.

Ok here is my equipment layout. I am a melee RDM but since melee is secondary I do not carry equipment for it (but since level 30, I’ve been backline). After I have more Gil and have larger carrying space, may add Attack+ and Dex+ Items.
