I just switched from qwest dsl to comcast cable, and for some odd reason I cant get on ffxi. Well, cant even connect to playonline for that matter. Getting that cannot find DNS bullshit. I've tried everything I know of, putting in the IP and DNS manually etc. If anyone has some bright idea's that I've been missing, please let me know.

Did you reconfigure your connection type? If you don't create an entirely new connection type from the login screen, it'll continue to connect via the now-nonexistant Qwest line.

Bryan its the gay sex. Thats easily whats screwing with your connection. You need to chill bro.

Are you on a PS2? Some ISP's need you to register the MAC address of your PS2 to them before you can connect to the internet through it. And some ISP's are plain junky and won't let your PS2 connect without a router.

It might be the same with a 360, I couldn't say for sure though.
