All mages who think they can live without AF, aspir, and magic in general since the only other source for it would be from zilart if it wasnt for windurst raise thier hands.

I don't know how you seem to think otherwise, but Windurst isn't the source of all magic or magical items.

The Dhamels learned magic from the taru.
I dont have an explanation as to where the lastokans learned dark magic for Drk but it's probably the same as the above.
The taru learned magic from the kuluu if i remember correctly via scoping out the ruins in saruta.
To my knowlege i have yet to see any "historical documents of legends" stating that any non beastman race other than the taru had any knowlege of magic without the assistance of the taru.
 
Weren't the Tarus a races of tiny savages originally until they learned the ways of magic and then sold their knees for massive MP pools?

Where did you read this? I've never heard of anything even remotely alluding to taru's learning magic first and making all of the magical items.
 
vanadiel tribune+ other stuff?
The Elvaan learned magic from a taru dignitary (or whatever he was) in sandy if I remember correct and this resulted in the pld job class eventually.
I think it was in the tribne that it was mentioned that taru learned magic via exploring the ruins. I honestly dont remember exactly where I learned the taru learning magic thinig from though.

Wait, they actually put backstory in there? I didn't think they put anything actually relevant to the game, or that anyone actually read them.

Yeah the only tribune I have read was something about Valentines day and something about a mix-matched party of friends who tried to kill Bahamut but failed horribly..... But they had fun so I guess that automatically fixes it :ph34r:
