When I was riding through Konschtat Highlands on my chocobo i got a /tell from a LVL 12 WAR with no subjob.

At this point I wasn't bothered it was the usual "PL" /tell I get every once in a while.

How low do people go these days to get a PL.... :shock:
 
pfft.. making a good party in the dunes is easy.. the other day NIN, WAR, BRD, RNG, SMN, and 1 more I can't think of... was the first part of the party.. it was fun and great exp.. and even after changing to various combination of party set ups.. we still beat everything up easily and got 5 levels in about 3 hours at the most
 
I too spend my White Mage exsistence in /anon because of constant tells of PLing, Raising or Teleports.

I was also plagued by a tell very similar to yours...I was passing through the dunes...saw a LS friend...cured up his HP and began to run away...not even before I could break into a run I got...

Now I have no problem helping out LS members or friends, but PLing...I actually enjoy PLing...BUT...what is with all the people randomly telling people (most even /anon) for this stuff...What happened to people suffering through the dunes and learning their job? :roll:

I personally didnt spend this much time and effert getting to lvl 70 to be /anon the whole time
Thats why when I travel to D2 a friend I go as 70 Blm/01 Smn
No raise, no cure......no problem
Plus having carby follow me is dam sexy.
 
I was skilling up Staff with My WHM in valk a while ago because at the time it was the only job I had high enough to solo skill up staff and club. I made the mistake of raising someone on the beach, damn did I regret that. I got a tell from a party asking for a PL that went something like this:

dumbass> Pl us
me> why
dumbass> it's your job
me> how is humoring lazy people my job?
dumbass> you f#@king bitch
me> watch your language please
dumbass> I'll watching my F#@king language if I WANT to watch my f#@king language, now get your punk bitch ass over here and PL us now.
me> well, that amazing display of stupidity makes me want to PL you even more.
dumbass> STFU bitch, and I was gonna pay you 5k too, guess we'll just have to give it to someone else then.

(it's extremely funny to me that he thinks he can entice me with 5k especially after all the insults and stupidity he's already thrown my way)

I started getting TONS of tells from morons that believed him so I just turned on my /tell chat filter and went back to skilling up.

now, correct me if I'm wrong but didn't he figure out I was a WHM when I RAISED someone? pssh, loser n00b. It's not like I have things to do or anything. I'm not just a raise teleport and PL whore for the world to abuse. I have better things to do with my time than waste it on lazy ass n00bs. I do something nice like raise someone, out of the goodness of my heart, and I have to put up with this crap because of it. see if I ever raise a stranger in valk again. Beside it being an incredibly boring job crap like this is the reason I quit being a WHM.

I HAVE found though, that if you cast Blaze/ice/shock spikes on yourself and grab hate with cures if the mob actually manages to land even just one hit on you the dmg from your spikes will MURDER their XP. I've started doing that when people ask for PLs now. It's worth wasting my time to piss off lazy little n00bs. it's incredibly funny the reactions I get from that XD

I must say, I am (without a doubt) guilty of recieving PL's, but what kind of moron thinks he/she has the right to harrass people like that?
More the reason to stick the PLing to friends/LS only, which Jewellee did, only to be confronted by a complete jerk.

i get invited to a party in the dunes, we got rdm, me nin, couple wars blm. normal dune party.

then the leader says "Sorry guys i can find a PL, gonna disband party now"

I was PL'ing my RL friend in the dunes as the great combo of Drk/Whm. I know PL's are evil, but he used to play, and just started up again. My friend had a good party going (all the right pieces) I was just giving a helping hand. Everyone in his party seemed to be enjoying it, yet some n00b (war, no sj) still wanted more. Our conversation went something like this....

noob> thanks for the pl
me> np im doing it for my friend
noob> after plz bring me to jeuno
me> {Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass}
noob> im telling you not asking
me> {hmm..} is that how you treat people who are helping you?
noob> yes
me> and you expect to heal you?

at this point the party pulled a mob. Maybe i was wrong for doing this, but i hate it when people are rude to me, and I'm sure WSM will have some comment on this :wink: .

(the party is fighting, the noob War is tanking)

I raised him and told him to have some respect, then he left. After he gave me a good laugh by wondering why I let him die, then wondering why I was mad at him. He apologized, I accepted, and 4 or 5 days later he sent me a /tell about how he is X level now :roll: .

I wish that all the new people who play would understand how disrepectful they are at times like this.... I just like to show them how far it will get them.

WTF is up with that? sheesh, what happened to learning how to play your jobs thorugh the dunes? No wonder there's so many crappy players out there. These people are in for a shock when they hit higher lvl areas XD. Wish that would kill off the desire to continue playing in more people than it does.

bit off topic but this reminds me of another time when I was in a lizard pt in he dunes. WHM after the first fight (it's obvious that it's his first pt ever) says "that took too long, it's not worth it can we move on to something better?" there was a guy I knew in the pt I lvled NIN with him. we got talking about how it doesn't get much better from there on out. We started talking, more to each other than to him, about how much longer fights get, where you go on after the dunes, players we'd pted with and so on, while waiting on puller and he just started screaming at us to shut up. we were like, dude, we're not even talking to you, what probelem do you have with it? he just disbanded and left. we were all like WTF you left over one kill not being as fast as you wanted it to be and two people talking about where we lvled at 55 and comparing notes? That was just n00btacular right there. I bet he canceled his account in the next week XD

I was in qufim once, and i'm just running around, killing gigas, anything people are running away from, and elementals...so this BST/NIN see's i'm a high lvl RDM...and they ask me to pl..

Me: No, I don't like powerleveling, even then, you're a BST, you can solo just fine...
Person: But, but they are T's
Me: Oh my! Then charm a T and kill the other T! :O

Me: No, i'm nice for letting you actually not being babysat.

Not so much a PL beg....but I was begged to guide a party through Promyvion-Holla on my SMN eirlier today. No, they didn't need another SMN, their party was full. They...just.....wanted a guide.. ¬.¬
