Dont know if anyone was looking forward to this game, Or if you were all gonna pass it aside as another failed movie to game attempt.
but the game is actually....Good. Very good actually.
its a hack n slash....with Wolverine!

Im about 7 levels in....and im still having a blast lunging at enemies...throwing people...dismembering people.
And besides....a game that proves "The cake is NOT a lie" cant be all that bad right? (Wait till you see what i mean by that haha)

Seriously, If you like Wolverine, This game is just as good as the movie. It follows the movie loosely and gives different P.O.V.'s on scenes in the movie.

IF anything, Rent it, check it out. Its worth the time, And when you realize the opening CG isnt live action...you'll drool a bit.

I've been VERY interested in this game since they announced it; there hasn't been a single disappointing thing that I've seen in any of the videos. I can't play downloaded games on my 360, so I have to wait until Friday like everyone else, but I'm definitely going to buy it ASAP.

God of War WHO? Kratos is a pussy compared to Wolverine in this game.

I'm loving this game so much, the combat is completely brutal, the graphics are astounding, and the environment is extremely well designed.

Man it is a pretty fun game..

So how 'bout them easter eggs?

i have this game but have not touched it yet, waiting to see the film first. (which we're going to see today.)

The Easter Eggs are top notch!
So few games have these kinds of easter eggs these days when I found the first one it made me grin.
Sure, they can't be like some of them (lol sidestepping words to avoid spoiling), but just the fun of coming across them is what makes it awesome to me.
Achievement isn't bad either, but that's not why I go looking for them.

With all the praise you guys are giving this game, I think I'm gonna have to check it out at some point here.

Eh, it wasn't a good game by any stretch for me, but it was fun and made time pass by. Basically a god of war without those godawful quick time events.

saw the film, was very pleased. playing the game, am even more pleased. Baj & Chas were right on the money about this game.

I tried the demo out, with low expectations despite this thread. Actually kind of fun, as much as I wanted to hate it. I don't think it's deep or good enough to warrant a $60 purchase but I can see myself borrowing this from a friend or renting or something and just playing through once. The graphics are pretty terrible though, especially contrasted with the CGI opening. I thought the graphics were gonna look like that and I was thinkin "shit man they're taking this seriously like a real game not a movie game." Then bam it changes to gameplay and it looks like an upscaled PS2 game. Considering the mindlessness of this game, I don't think it's unfair to demand modern if not above average for 2009 graphics.

Yeah its a very fun game but i am renting it.

So, a passable movie tie in game was made?

...

*head explodes*

j/k I might try this out.

Its a very fun game Gerry but in the end it is just another movie game. Its short, mindless, ugly at times and gives no reason to play again... But it is very fun. I could not pay $60 for this.

Also Quantum of Solace is a GREAT game made off of a movie. It takes the back seat to the major FPS' for sure but its a very good game. Poor mans CoD4.

Must just be the PS3 version, the 360 version that I got looks great. The cut scenes are better, but the actual game play section looks very good.

i found all the costume bonuses too so i get to try the challenges.

Thats just it Zaltana.. There was nothing to miss because there was nothing to the game lol. Mindless fighting yet very fun. I am a monster and blow through games very quickly so i will forget it in a day or two.
