How does everyone like the new features?

I think the whole "being able to look at your friend's friends" is a pretty cool feature. I also like the way they cleaned up the marketplace section of the menu.
 
i love it so far. tho...i have not been able to get divx to work >.>
i love the bios, and being able to set your name and location.
The little fade out transition before loading a game and shutting off the system is a nice little subtle add on. and each xbox original having a free theme and gamer pictures rocks too!
and FINALLY they have a seperate listing for FREE STUFF instead of having to scavenge for it.
 
It's all nice, but one of my favorites so far is having the trigger buttons as Rewind and Fast Forward on DVDs. A small addition, but a handy one.

The absolute best is just knowing that trial games won't show up on the Achievements list anymore. I wish they could've fixed it so that older trial versions were deleted and would stop cluttering it up, but at least no new ones will appear there.
 
Yeah I'm liking the new update so far being able to see other peoples friends list is pretty cool.
 
It sucks because its fucking up being able to play COD4 online :(
 
Uhh i can't even connect to Live once I did that update. It just gets stuck in the loading screen...

Yeah that happened to me for awhile so i started my xbox up by opening up the disc case and it went straight to the dashboard and it was all fine after that.
 
I said screw it, and instead of restarting the xbox, after 45 minutes it finally loaded to xbox live.
 
Meh it happens every time in almost every situation. Live, PSN and hell even FFXI used to do this with major updates. I think its fixed now tho. CoD was working fine for me later last night.

nope, its not an update that does it, its always.
Gold memberes always get content 1 week before silver members no matter if it comes out during an update or not, its been this way for quite some time.
 
well its like any pay service anywhere, if you want the benefits you upgrade. Pay services always have a perk one up from a free service no matter where it is. Thats one of the perks of gold, but keep in mind not EVERY item has that week gap, and i think demos would be one of them, i believe demos always come out at the same time as gold, as well as arcade games. Unless its a high profile demo maybe, but i dont think ive ever seen that happen.
