I pretty much predicted that the console on early release would fuck up the system and those crazy ass kids waiting on line for 73 hours straight just proves how far a gamer would go just to get a console that would last for a few days then POOF. I need everyones feedback though atm. I hear that the 360 gets soooo hot that it can act as a radiator. Maybe that's gonna mess up the boards inside and ruin the console in a short time.

If you can recall the first X-Box when it released it only lasted for an hour and broke. Consumers started calling Microsoft complaining that the console would not function anymore. Customer Support was so rude it could project like a recreation of the Cold War. Maybe the same will go for 360.

I'm not buying 360 untill next year or something. I'm in no rush to buy 360, PS3, or the new Nintendo. It's not really worth the money atm with all this bug shit and paying more money to get the god damn system fixed. So back me up on what I said. =)

Discuss!

My xbox works fine and it is from the original release date. Ver 1 and i have never had a problem with it. My 360 works just fine too:-D . It has yet to freeze up or even overheat. Maybe im just lucky or my shipment wasn't droped on the boat over here.

LMAO take it!!!!

Yeah I worked the midnight release for 360 bwhahahaha already 3 out of 30 have come back because they broke down in some way or another. You know what though? We can't do a damn thing about it. Call microsoft <3

The thing over heats like crazy, our demo model in the store broke after 2 weeks. so... My pity lvl right now for the people that bought a 360 is like... no there...

Do your research people. Don't get a system when it first comes out

Lol Same fate as the first Xbox ... My friend who works at EB games told me the same thing about the 360. People have been calling up saying that it's been Crashing(Freezing). What a waste of money.

You can't rush Quality... and now they're going to pay the consequences for trying to get an edge by selling it before x-mas just to "TrY" to make up the losses for that piece of trash Xbox 1.

LMfaoooooooo Feel sorry for a lot of you people... who waited 12+ hours for one.

Quality takes time.. and those who wait will recieve a better product called Ps3.

You should have pity =P When people buy a product such as an Xbox360 they have every right to expect it to work well out of the box without needing to reasearch. Microsoft shouldn't of released the system if it's obviously having so many issues atm.

I don't plan to buy a 360 at all due to me not playing much games anymore, but still, I don't think you should expect people to know these things or reasearch everything so much. I didn't know about the orginal Xbox's problems until like 3 days ago when stories on the 360's error came up. It's not common knowledge.

as far as I remember there has not been one system released without any issues. Every systems is buggy when it first comes out, that is to be expected. I guess if I am going to fork out 400 dollars I'm gonna read about it first. From a retail point of view I am tired of hearing about the xbox 360 from costumers and parents who are just hearing about it for their first time and want to buy one for their kid for xmas. It's like the DS last year. People get nasty and angry about it to me and its disrespectful. At work we are comparing the 360 to Sega's Dreamcast. Expensive, premature, overheated, overhyped and buggy. Lets hope microsoft has a back up plan on this one. I am not being biast, I have every other system but an xbox atm. This does not mean when the ps3 comes out I will not practice this same caution before buying one. I understand where you are coming from Dave :)

I'm not gonna even bother untill I see 360's hardware at 100%.
so never?

IDK I get the feeling the X-box 360 was rushed, they only could get ne batch for the holiday season and a limited batch at that, I really do not think they where ready but they where so obsessed witht eh 4th quarter results they did not care. That is one of the biggest flaws with the gaming industry, they want 4th quarter results so they only release new crap then it seems. Well the big releases tend to be then at least.

The trend I hate most in gaming (particularly MMO's) now is companies feeling that it is okay to release heavily bugged games "We'll just patch that after launch" attitudes.

I don't know why people hate on the Xbox. I have a version one and the only problem I ever had was the top started to melt and it will shutoff every once in awhile. That's just because I didn't have it a well vented area and would play 10 hour sessions of GR and RS3. Now anyone who says that PS2 is a better product is a fool cause I've seen first hand all the troubles that you can name that system had. Hell my brother went though 3 PS2s I think before he got one that would not break....err it hasn't broken yet, but it probably will.

PS2 on launch lasted 3 months when I first got it. The system worked fine then it started to slow down on reading. Putting in a new CD (didn't matter if it was new or not) would cause the PS2 to not read the CD and keep giving the message "System Disc Error" I think. So no, X-Box and PS2 wasn't perfect. Gamecube came out with no bugs. Very funny that it didn't.

ummmm.... the gamecube has its share of problem. The laser in many versions of the cube break down over time. An old roommate of mine ritually opened his cube up to ghetto adjust the power on the laser. Found some instructions online so it is a very very very common problem.

But generally, Nintendo has an extermely good rep on durable products compared to all its competion, past and present. And those controllers, jesus...They take a lot to break.

Also to mention this. Always expect Nintendo to deliver wierd ass controllers.
