Xbox 360, Hamachi, and long-distance LANs

No need to apologize. More derails = more readers = more ideas (theoretically). Long as it doesn't turn into a cat pictures thread...

Again doing the XBL route would be the simple easy solution. I guess now I'm more interesting in completing the project than actually getting these two mooks connected.

ohh, ohh sorry. Carry on.

But cerial, sure you can get all the stuff i mentioned on a pc for free, but this isnt a pc, its a console. Thats like comparing a controller with a mouse and keyboard, it just doesn't work.

And yes I gladly pay 5 a month for the service that is xbox live, or as you like to call it "Matchmaking service"

How can you even begin to call the Live service matchmaking while you defend your precious Second Life comming PSN "Home" to the death? You're going mad aren't you? Making no sense and all this good stuff.

Get the hell outta here, go back to your little shit turned PS3 sucks thread, and spank to the backs of your Blu-Rays there. If you wanna say something about this, copy and paste it over there, this isn't the place for you to be jelous of us Live users with gold accounts.

Cmdr, sorry. Anyway, to you, I see. I figured you were trying to just toy around and all but I just wanted to present a more sensible idea incase you were not.

I never said Home was worth paying for.

But the question remains that no one is willing to answer, which is if Xbox live silver gave you matchmaking service, would you pay for gold?

if it was free there wouldnt need to be a gold. If there were a gold it would have some sort of offerings for it that might make it ideal for some gamers. But its not, wont be and thats good. Cause when your paying for a service it gives the company more incentive to work hard on it, and pay attention to the customer needs. When something free its hard work at first and exciting, but gets boring eventually and slacking off occurs.
