this is from a hackers conference with a thing called lightning conference, where a hacker can come up and present something but they have about 5 minutes to present it, This anonymous masked hacker has displayed his xbox booting king kong the game and then booting into a linux screen that just says "coming soon".
If this is true that screen alone is more than anyone has done in this field for homebrew on the next gen consoles.
notes: There is PCB coming out the side of the case, it appears he doesnt use the hard drive for this
He hooks into a laptop making be believe that whatever he soldered in there connects through a SATA port or USB.
hopefully this is true and will be brought down to simpler methods because i cannot wait for some homebrew.
Everyone get a good laugh at the commentary tho because the guy whos talking has no idea what the fuck is going on!!!
Edit: someone mentioned at the scenes site that he didnt use the xbox hard drive, So my theory is he somehow made a xbox formatted hard drive and modified it to boot whatever he wanted which would explain hooking it up to the laptop...if my theory is correct he could have just taken two big steps....
