First off, shame on you. FF series belongs on Sony systems and Sony systems alone. Secondly, 360 comes out sometime this year, PS3 is slated for sometime next Feb.-Mar.

Which is better? Obviously it's the PS3 running on 1.8 TFLOPS, 7 processors, and a plethora of other gaming nirvana including blue tooth technology. Besides the obvious hardware advantages to owning a PS3, also note that a number of popular gaming companies are straying away from Microsoft and the XBox. RPGs and Action/Adventure games holding the top sales almost every month are also a good reason to hold off on that 360 for the PS3. XBox has little to no intentions to focus on those genres of video games, making far more exclusive deals focusing on companies selling sports games.

I just decided to post this because I have a severe distast for anything Microsoft. Not only are they more profit based than consumer based, but they allow dirty tricks, such as allowing Halo 3 to premier on PS3 launch date, to continue. Am I the only one who fears my XBox will someday grow it's own AI and destroy all Sony products in my household?

Oh, btw, PC still pwns both systems.

Eh....it belongs on PC and only PC. Was alot better pre sony because there was a huge lack of children and teens playing...god it was so much quieter....

What about Nintendo's next console that's backwards compatible with the
Gamecube?

Code Name:

Nintendo Revolution...

Just thought I'd toss that in there.

I would like to be the first to say FF series BELONGS to SE, on whatever system they can make money from. FF started on Nintendo, and I'll be damned if I buy a GameCube....

The enbolded is to be read MicroSHAFT, as they give the cold hard steel shaft to anyone who needs assistance after buying their product.

And just FYI, in the gaming world, PS3 does more visually than a PC four times the price can do. So PC doesn't pwn all.

To swear allegiance to one system based on brand name is an idea that still continues to elude me.

Why not find the best every medium has to offer and enjoy? By biasing yourself to a Sony only product, you deny yourself so many other gaming experiences. Granted, its expensive to have all systems each generation, but in order to fully appreciate the best of all words, its the only way.
With the $$$ you would spend on say ... 5 or six games for one system, you could buy the competitions system and add it to the selection.

Just my.02, but I do agree with your view on Microsoft mostly, they are an evil Conglom-o bent on world domination, however, if they can deliver a next gen FFXI, Ill gladly make the switch.

SE announced at E3 that they will consider releasing FFXI on the PS3 and Revolution if they're able to run the game (ie: included hard drive, memory, all that crap). I'm sure they don't want another PS2 incidence on their hands.

As for the PS3, don't believe Sony at E3. They're known to lie about their system's specs.

Nintendo = Toy

 All video game systems are Toys Sneaky.....

Anyway FF started on Nintendo so this "FF Belongs on Sony" is complete BS. I'm not a fan of Xbox because it doesnt have any games that I want, sony's hardware is crap and Nintendo Rules (for me anyway...I love the games if you don't oh well). I'll buy a Revolution and a PS3 and be quite happy with my investments until my sony craps out a year later

I've offended the Nintendo lovers.

Don't get me wrong, I love the games that Nintendo has and that many of them have a genre of their own. But damn, their hardware has never impressed me. Functional capability, and mostly design just seem childish in comparison to PS2 and XBOX...But, pros and cons. Pros and cons.

Anything else I say will just come off as offensive, so I'll just stop.
It's not like I have a point.

Nintendo Gamecube is actually the most advanced console out right now XD even though I don't like the games it has.. but that's me.. I will fully enjoy the new Zelda it seems. The X-Box really isn't all that good I think.. only game it has of any good is Halo and Halo II.. other than that.. nothing that really pulls my attention. The Sony Playstation 2, though not the most advanced system out there, has the most games that I enjoy which is why I prefer it and it is my only system other than the old sony playstation and old sega systems I have, not to mention the Nintendo 64 and SNES that were my relative's. FF did start on Nintendo, true, but really took off on Sony's Playstation. FF1-6, good games as they are, did not quite have the same impact that FF7 did on the RPG world and playstation offered the quality that Squaresoft was looking for and still do so it should remain on sony's systems :D especially the new PS3 which is so gonna pwn the other systems. The cell processor alone makes it better.. but that's another topic. As for the X-Box 360.. I really didn't expect it to be all that impressive compared to the PS3 or nintendo's system coming out.. hehe.. but I also hate microsoft so.. ya.. I just hope they move Halo to another system and that sony will make the PS3 a bit better for multiplayer than the PS2 and PS1 are...

I've yet to see anything interesting on the Gamecube that I can't already get for PS2 or PC, but I might have to get one solely for the new Zelda game. Looking amazing so far.

As for the new systems...I'll wait to see what the "killer apps" are gonna be before I make any decisions on which to get. I've always tried to limit myself to one system per generation, and the PS2 has been the one to bring me what I want so far. If Squeenix sticks with Sony, I suspect the PS3 will be the next-gen system of choice for me. Though even that isn't set in stone.

IT'S THE GAMES, STUPID!!

I prefer PS over anything else. GC has mostly childish games (mostly, I said, I know it has RE and Zelda) and Xbob just doesn't inspire me... It's ugly and the controllers are ugly, and the games just... suck (for me).

How about this . . . forget the console war cry baby bullshit. It's all about the games, and no matter how much you piss and moan, all three of the next gen systems will have groundbreaking games.

And remember boys and girls . . . Final Fantasy did it first and best on the Big N.

How about a little multiple system lovin'!? they've all got their strong points, unless of course you're a pig headed moron.

I'll just throw out (like everyone else) FF series began on the NES, then SuperNES, Square is older than Sony in its ff series hehe.

I'm not a system fanboi, I just want to play games. If it has good games its a good system in my book.

And dontcha know it Sony kinda stabbed SE in the back by making that Hard drive doodad incompatible with all new made PS2's, that was not a very nice thing for sony to do.

I'd love to see the FF series release on multiple platforms, because that way more people can enjoy the game regardless of which system they can afford. Lots of people only buy one system due to money restraints.

XBox has sports and halo, Nintendo has Zelda and Mario, and Sony has rpg's. thats how this generation went. I am waiting with anticipation to see how the next nextgen system game titles look :)

Miyamoto says he'll make sure one of the next-gen Nintendo system's launch titles is a Smash Bros. game, plus I can get to relive all those old NES and SNES games I miss and missed.
I'll get a PS3 and a Nintendo (they should remodel all the old games to be online, then I can have some great Goldeneye/Perfect Dark deathmatches as well as spend a lot of time on the 4 player TMNT2 arcade game). X-Box just doesn't appeal to me, it has no game that reaches out to me or any memorable characters. (So far X-Box's only stand out character is Master Chief who has a crappy name as well as is a boring beefy military guy.)
The only X-Box game that actually caught my eye was True Fantasy and it was cancelled.

Notice my comment didn't say we were more superior...But before PS2 launch things were alot different...Although I would have to say since you brought it up Pcers > PS2ers just my opinion of course... but like it or not the downward slide kicked heavily off when the PS2ers started lvling up and getting to the goods...Things were ALOT different before then ALOT...I would bet anything had it stayed PC only this game would still be that same great game it once was. No offense to PS2ers this is just simple noticing of change. You're not ALL bad players but the stink came right behind ya when the door flew open  I'm sure the JP's think the same way of the PC NA release too it's just simpe logics.

I'd like Zelda released on more than one system... even X-Box's games are released on PC atleast... XD
