anybody convert to xbox360? recently my ps2 laser blew so i bought a refurb one last week just for the hdd. bottom line is i havent played in a few months because of the worries of havin to re-install all files and redo macros. (boooo)
my man nogard convinced me to get the install for my 360. im hoping this will rejuvinate my wants for playing this wretched game. im still debating on wether to pick up my copy tonight. any good news or anyone have any positive things to say about the 360 and ffxi? :crazy:
 
i am next week lol for the voice com bit plus i can play my 360 ffxi and all my other xbox games as DL a file to play both lol :) so i dont need any other thing expect pc
 
If you have the opportunity to move to the X360 go for it. You might as well redo all your macros and stuff on a platform that offers better graphics and requires just that one X360 FFXI dvd. It's my understanding that any windows based USB keyboard will work just fine with the X360 too.
 
my 360 KB the offical one comes this friday lol :P and i need to find a Tauo FFXI now and steal dads credit card again

pay 400$ just for a further clipping plane? {No Thanks.}

Since everything else for the 360 is junk, i'd be buying it just for FFXI. I'll keep my PC thanx

The transition from PS2 to 360 is PHENOMENAL and yes you will find that its a huge improvement. Looks better than standard PCs too (but not better than Ultra HiTech PCs w/ Huge Video Cards).

Apart from the voice chat (that only works with only another player/friend with knowledge of your Xbox Gamertag), you have:

-Longer Drawing distance
-720p
-16:9 Aspect Ratio

If you are like many of us that have the means to buy every videogame system in existence, go for it.

btw: I'm buying the PS3 version once that system is out. ^^

Mara, come on man, first of all Mystic has the X360 already so he's not really buying the console for FFXI. Second.. the PS2 FFXI can't hold a candle to the X360 version in terms of graphics, voice chat, one DVD with all the current content etc. I also wouldn't call everything on the X360 junk, but then again this isn't a X360 fanboy thread so I won't start ;).
 
ill be on 360 the beta was awsome even though it had its glitches it was still quite nice. and yes go go voice chat. oh and blazn i play ghost online from time to time, aswell as madden/mlb2k6/pd0/blazin/fightnight3 drop me a pm.
 
On the 28th, i will be using both pc and xbox 360. My computer is junk and I already have an xbox 360 so why not?

oh, and HI T-LOC , i got ur message the other night thanks for calling man. try us later at night we should be home then.. been busy at the gym gettin ready for fire academy.. thats how we do.. lol
 
Is it just me and my sucky eyes or do the 360 text colors all appaered to be washed out? Everything looks great but the text, I cant tell it apart, even after I tinkered with font colors. This is same tv I play the PS2 version on. Just a reg old standard def CRT, and no other game on 360 sems to give me this prob. I've fiddled with TV color and everything, am I losing my mind or anyone experiencing this?

yeah it is horrible =\ I had to change all the fonts to really bright blinding colors to be able to tell the difference in text.

and np Rent... err Mysticalone. Was lookin for yall online but hopefully i will catch yall soon. by the way, when are you gonna join VvV? lol
