Hey, I had a random question. My GF is using the PS2 version of this game, can she switch over to using Xbox360 without having to restart all over? I know for a long time they didn't let you go from PC to PS2 but I dont know if there was a similar problem with XBox. I just got one about a month ago and her PS2 sucks ass. Also, anyone in Boston area have all the Xbox dvd's I could borrow to install so I dont have to shell $50+ to install and not use the codes? And how is Xbox compared to PS2 and PC, does it stall at NPC's and crash alot?

Yup just install the game, use yer codes from the PS2 version and yer all set!

However you NEED the FFXI disk in the 360 to play the game, so you still need to shell out the $50

$50 for the FFXI CD? It shouldn't be that much... Unless it's more expensive in USA >.> You can probably get a copy, even with the WoTG expansion for $30...

Oh yeah, and you need to make a gamertag ID and have xbox live in order to play ffxi on 360. You can get the free version of xbox live, but when you're making a gamertag, make sure you match it up with the ffxi account you want to stay in there, otherwise it won't let you switch to a different account and you'd have to make a new gamertag.

God that sounds like a pain in the ass. I signed up for Xbox live for myself so I will have to link my account to hers but whatever. I just dont want to shell out $50 for a game I already own and I checked it is $50 for FF plus all the expansions including WoTG. Is there someone who can lend me one to just install?

As pointed out, you can't play the game unless you have the disc in the drive. There's no "borrowing" this game for installation.

Technically you don't own the 360 version.. (but will need to get it) :) You have the PS2 version ;) Same game, different system. Sides I have it on my PS2 and 360 ;)

As I said you Need to have the disk in your 360 to make the game work after install, this is a requirement.

Nope the xbox 360 version does not crash at NPC's well at least it has never happened to me, so I just get to laugh when i hear people yelling about freezing at the warp taru in whitegate and the assault sign up people .

I got the DVD for $1 online plus a few for shipping. Not sure if it comes with registration but it dont matter since I have an account and extra registration numbers I havent used yet.
