Thank you Microsoft for being so well prepared by supplying the bandwidth necessary on your Xbox live systems to support your existing clients and your new market target, the Halo 3 users.

So, it's been over an hour and Xbox live keeps connecting on my 360, then when I try to get onto POL it gives me a stupid message to test my network settings. Yeah, they all pass, it shows me logged in, yet it gives that retarded message that it thinks I'm not online so I can't get on the game.

I have 2 regrets:
1) believing that my PS2 wasn't worth putting on life support
2) pre-ordering wings of the goddess in xbox format

Give it a week or two. For the log in problem. It is the first day after all. Look at Van's thread on how there is only 1000 people on at peak hours.

Ofcourse, Vandoura has proven time and time again she isn't that bright. 5 PM is not peak hours in this game. I'd be suprised if 360 owners make up more than 5% of the total population of the game.

Well Mr.Skaw, a majority of players that played on PS2 migrated to 360. Don't know where i read it but it was something like 38% or something like that. I will dig for the article.

US PS2 owners were already the minority to begin with.

Regardless, a game thats primarily Japanese does not have a peak time of 5 PM EST.
 
Just cancle x-box reservation, and get ps2 instead. tho thay likly fix it by then.

I did not say Japanese peak hour, yes JP do start logging in around 7-8pm est

BUT NA start logging in around 5pm est especially with teens and their school

3PM, their Class finish then 3pm-5pm est they finish homework, dinner, or w/e need to be done. Same with grown up, coming back from work, do some few kisses and hugs with family then log in ffxi


like i said, 5pm est is the starting of peak hour for both NA and JP. Around 7-8pm you'll see a significant changed in the population during those time.

Is not like starting 5pm est, 500+ people gonna log in all at once
 
Boy, if only there were an xbox forum for this sort of thing...

Then why didn't you just say 7-8PM is the peak hour? Also XBL is total balls, PCs ftw.

This is a Xbox Live rant but either way, it is weird hybrid of both FFXI and Live, no need to jump people's shit over it.
 
Seeing as Xbox Live hasn't given me any grief nor anyone I've come into contact with lately, I'd look elsewhere for the problem. You can bet, if there was a problem with Live right now, with Halo 3 just hitting, so many people would go mad and we'd all know of this "problem with live".

I agree, I haven't had a problem with XBL and FFXI outside of them having maintenance when I want to play.
