I need more people on my friends list that play this so I can join games more easily. Its not fun when your with a bunch of random assholes, plus with the in game voice glitch you cant even talk shit to em most of the time. Anywho...

im usually on, not always on GoW but have been latley and will be for the new maps tomorrow. and i never heard of a voice glitch in the game? voices work fine for me!

I'm playing through GoW right now, but only with a friend of mine in reallife. And I'm not really interested in playing with other people until I make it through the game this first time.

However I'll post my gamer tag anyway so we can be on eachothers friendlist for future games. I just got my 360 jan 6th.

I'm planning on gettin' a Xbox 360 tomorrow. The only problem is, I can't decide which one. My funds are rather limited and I'd like to pick up Gears of War and fully reserve Lost Planet. If I get just the core system, $299.99, will I be able to save game progress and go online? Or is the hard drive a mandatory necessity for those two things? I really don't want to spend four-hundred bucks on something I'll probably only play 3-4 hours every other day or two.

if you get the core system, in order to save progress youll need a memory card. at that rate, your better off getting the hard drive.
Without the hard drive you will not be able to play original xbox games or download XBLA games or any of the online content such as the new gears maps etc

if you wanna save some cash for lost planet, hit me up. i have 4 invites left to join black cats (a nice private community) and you can learn to flash your FW with ease and just burn the game if you want, ive had lost planet for a little over a month now ^^ but if thats not your thing, np just puttin it out there

Get the 400$ one or dont get anything at all. The 300 really is worse then nothing.

Agreed, The $300 option is not worth it. Spend the extra $100 now and you won't regret it.
 
I will get the $400... for sure now.

I just spent 4 of the most greatest hours of my video game time ever. My buddy has Gears of War. I didn't understand all the hype having just played single-player mode for some 2-3 hours alone. However, tonight he set me up online with him in a co-op style deathmatch mode... Wow... just pure, brutal, fun. Forget the measely 4-5 hours a week XD I'll be on non-stop. Anyway, thanks for all the buyer advice and Chasym, hit me up in a PM if that offer still exist with some information, I'm more than okay with toying with a Microsoft product. They tie so much of my money up, I figure they, and the people who do business with them, owe me some good times.

Enjoy you 7 hour long game! (even though i love RE4 and beat it in 2hr 45min lol ; ; )
