You know what they...or just me perhaps...say. You dont buy Halo for the Xbox. You buy the Xbox to play Halo. Dear god 6 more days......ugh...

Atually it has had quite a few good games now. Star Wars was pretty fun, Halo ofcourse, Halo2 soon, new Star Wars coming out, and the greatest football game of all time besides tecmobowl for Nintendo...NFL FEVER!
 
Halo ( for both xbox and pc ) are by far the worse fps's i have ever played in my life.

Unreal will never compare to UT2l4, And HL, and CS came out like 4 years ago for PC all though i never bother playing them, because i am yet to play a FPS anything far superior to quake3a. And I've played crap loads of fps.

As far as the Xbox i'ts self goes. . .

Cheesy game that goes along with movie...

Cheesy playformer...

Cheesy fighting games... ( Other fighting games might be also on ps2 and or gamecube for exp: SC2 )

I'm yet to see a rpg? where? please inform me if so.

As far as the ps2. . .

Sony's been in the game far longer.

Great fighting games such as the tekken and capcom games ( MVC2, SNKvC )

Great RPG titles such a xenogears~ xenosaga, FF franchise, ( Is dragon warrior 7 also for ps or ps2? I havent played it b4. )

Great third person games such as GTA3~ VC~ SA

No FPS games expect for a small amount, because i think sony realizes that FPS belong to ID software, lmfao.

Not to mention that ps controllers are far more simple AND DON'T HAVE 30 FUCKING BUTTONS.

DOA hardcore was alot better.

Marrowind it's not exactly a tradional RPG And i know like 50 people who souly rented the game because they thought that you could smoke weed in the game...

DOAXBV are you joking? I'd rather watch hentai it's almost the same thing. . .

DOAXBV got the award for best graphics at the SpikeTV VGA...And all mens network. . . /Digusted.

You're just adding to my point. Nothing compares to the great titles on the ps2

Still a crappy game from what i played and reviewed.

XBox controllers have exactly the same amount of buttons as the PS2 controller. Count 'em.

PS2: D-pad, 2 analog sticks, L1, L2, R1, R2, Square, Circle, Triangle, X, Select, and Start.
Xbox: D-pad, 2 analog sticks, L, R, Black, White, A, B, X, Y. Back, and Start.

The XBox has a couple good RPGs: Star Wars: Knights of the old republic, Fable, and depending on the amount of patience you have, Morrowind. Sudeki is reported to be somewhat on the good side of average.

I disagree with everybody who says "OMG NO MOUSE ON FPS SUXX0R!!!!!111"

I want those people to die.

for PS2 you forgot L3 and R3, even then, Xbox has the analog sticks to be able to be pressed...

Maybe im wrong with the number of buttons maybe your right.

And yes no mouse on FPs does sux0r... Should i XdieX now XtryionX? :P
 
Also, I really hated it when people started b----ing about the controllers that were first made.

They weren't THAT big, and if anything, the bigger controllers fit better in one's hand than the newer small controller...

I don't maybe most of the gamerz have small hands... :roll:

I just don't like to xbox setup. Not about how big it is or how many buttons there is.

Also due to they way you "Buffer" Moves on Tekken seems to be only dont on Arcade and PS2 Thank god tekken isnt on xbox. "Crap F,F, LP+RP, wtf i'm pressing it" MMMM buffering.
 
Hmm...the setup of the buttons is fine, it is new, just takes a couple hours to get used to(I pwn at DOA3), however, I hate how on Splinter Cell that it takes forever to bitch slap after you bitch slaped them already..

You do realize that halo didn't come out for PC for 2 years after initial release on X-Box? I doubt halo 2 will be any different. Oh, and macs own PC, X-Box, and Ps2 lol

Too bad Tekken sucks. :P

Anyhow, about the Mouse issue: FUCK MOUSE CONTROL. It is nice, yes, but not the end-all be-all of FPS controls. People like that are like the people who bitch about how they have to have an Arcade stick to play fighting games (PS: Fuck those people too.)

So those who have read my PS2 vs XBOX thread on Off-Topic know I considered buying a console ..., and then I stayed away from it for a number of reasons ..., and then I was tempted to buy one again ..., and then I stayed away yet again ..., and so the story continues ...

My major grief with consoles are the comparetivly shitty GFX. At home I play at 1280x1024, AA, AF, and mostly at a high frame rate. While some of the console games sure seem appealing, the GFX are a turn off.

I soooo want to buy EQ2 when it comes out, but I am not sure whether that is a wise choice, considering that I will get sucked in and do nothing else buy play it all day long. I assume this is less of an issue with a console, less addiction factor if you are through a game in 10 hours flat.

So just mebbe I will go and get that Xbox instead of EQ2 after all ...
 
Depending on whom you ask, that is the answer you get when you bring up EQ1.

It is an old game, and it has undergone what I consider major changes in the past four years. From a hardcore gamers perspective some things have changed for the better, and some things for the worse.

To me the change was bad enough that I ebayed off two of my three high level characters early on this year, and sold my last one (and finally left EQ for good) a few weeks back.

EQ has definitely become more mainstream. SOE and the average gamer see that as a good thing. The hardcore people who were with the game from day one, and are the top players on their server mostly saw it as dumbing the game down, and making their accomplishment worth less (because people tend to consider relative worth more than absolute worth).

To me that never really mattered all that much, but some of the choices made by the devs ticked me off enough to finally call it good (i.e.: only 54 players may attend high end GoD raids - or releasing two major expansions in the same year).

Overall I think that EQ, with all it's flaws, is still the best MMO out there, for it has kept me playing for some 4 years (three L65 chars, all over 100AA, one over 300AA, all PoT and KT), while other MMOs weren't able to keep my attention beyond a few weeks.

Im a person who cares less about technical stats and more about artistic style. I've been playing Panzer Dragoon Orta again lately, because there's really no other game that remotely looks like it. I really don't care about high res or anti-aliasing or... uhm... whatever AF stands for. :P
