My major grief with consoles are the comparetivly shitty GFX. At home I play at 1280x1024, AA, AF, and mostly at a high frame rate. While some of the console games sure seem appealing, the GFX are a turn off.

Im a person who cares less about technical stats and more about artistic style. I've been playing Panzer Dragoon Orta again lately, because there's really no other game that remotely looks like it. I really don't care about high res or anti-aliasing or... uhm... whatever AF stands for. :P
AF = Artificial Food

Hey, can I borrow that PDO? I've meaning to play it, seeing as my screen name has Dragoon in it(If any of you have played LOD, YOU ARE COOL) ^^;

I hope you don't mean Legend of Dragoon (IE: One of the worst. RPGs. ever. I played it, beat it, and promptly gave it away. I hope never to see it again.

Anyhow, I've seen PDO for $20 on ebay.

Guuhh..I hate the X-box Controller, It's far too big for me and I don't care for the button layout or the weird curvy shape on top. Combine that with the X-box's complete lack of japanese support and I don't find myself getting one ever. I also find a lot of the developeres take the PC style to the X-box and impliment it into the games. I'm a BIG fan of Artistic style (being an artist myself) and tend to lean heavier towards the PS2 and GC graphical styles. Yes I know the graphics aren't as good, but I'm in the same mind-set as I am with FFXI. Yes I know it doesn't have the sharpest graphics or best particle effects but I like the way my character looks. I find when you end up with these developers who try to use every little bit of power they can squeeze out of your PC, they tend to over-texturize things. Combine that with the fact that I find the edges sometimes to be too sharp (not jaggy just sharp).

The only thing that I really think X-box did well is online support. X-box live is awesome so kudos to them for finally doing online console gaming right. Flat rates to play all games with voice support is the only way to do it.

I love my GC, DC and PS2 (even though the hardware is shit! The games totally rock...), with all these plus my old systems, GBA and PC I don't really think getting an X-box is necessary....just my opinion though.
