XboX360 Towel Fix and save money maybe

So i was surfing Youtube and i came accross a demonstration on how to fix a 360 showing the Ring of death. The trick is to let it bake for 20 or so minutes. Some say it's a temp fix, others say it works over and over again and some say theirs is still kicking after the 1st fix.

Here is one of many videos about it. I found this one it to be boath comedic and emotional as the 360 looked like it had the flew, but appearantly the method worked. Other videos on youtube on topic are a more serious and believable edit.

If anyone has a red ring of light 360, try it out. Just be sure to supervise the system incase it tries to burn down you're home.
 
I was gonna try this, but i saw it the day before my box got to my house. If i ever get the ring again, god forbid, I'll try this out.
 
Anyone else catch the irony in the movie?
 
crazy trick.. wonder how long it ended up lasting em.
 
Well he said on the other video only 45 mins. Some ppl longer like 2 weeks. Also said that if you look on the back of it there is a date if it is around Oct. 19,2005 you can call microsoft and might get a new one for free.
