yeah well im bored im sitting in california, i play WoW, but i used to play XI, im tempted to buy XI for teh 360, is it even worth it?

I think it is, its got awsome graphics and not as much lag, (at least for me when i used to play on the PC). Also the gameplay i find is alot easier, tricky at first because its different then the PC, because of the controller, but I really like it.

its not that bad but computer is better due to internet databases access.. And xbox is laggy as much as pc, but displays less characters I think.

it must have been my graphics card for my computer then, cause its much nicer on my xbox. telepoints arent laggy at all, when it was laggy like heck on my comp ><

PC owns any console any day. And handles on the 360 for the triggers don't work like PS2 or Gamepad for PC. Though all I did was drop the FppoV (First person) and the key to bring up controller keyboard, so it's not real biggy. Graphics are smoother but with the new PC video cards out, XBOX phails. PS2 has phailed less then a year when it came out if not when it did come out that day. So if you don't have a great PC, get it for your 360. And besides. WoW has too many little kids unless you're on Horde or a mature server. Plus...FFXI doesn't let you drown in water...unless the spell is casted on you. >.<;

Playing FFXI with a 1400x1200 resolution, and maxed out texture. Making the background resolution 1200x840, I still find the graphics to not be as good as the 360 version. Why you ask?

Brightness and depth of Color. The xbox 360 version isnt as bland, which makes the world look much more alive. Granted I play on a HD 40 inch LCD.

So if you have a nice tv, go with 360 version.

fixed. Unless you have wide screen tv or play on on a pc screen.
What's the point of commenting on the graphics if it's not on an HD screen?

Seriously. It's like looking at a screenshot on the box of a PC version and running your game in 640x480, and complaining it doesn't look as great. Not running on recommended hardware is just as important as not running on recommended settings.

Way to fail, pchan.

The game is stable for the most part on the 360, and unless there's a lot of things going on in a small area (Besieged, Campaign, most auction houses), you won't run into any horrible lag. Graphics are good on an HD display, though you could do much better with upscale PC hardware (though such is pricey). The biggest caveats to playing on the 360 are having to use another machine to look up information (I solved this by setting up my PC and 360 right next to each other, each with their own monitor) and having to sign in to Xbox Live in order to access PlayOnline (you can play FFXI while singed out of Xbox Live, but you will get boot the boot if you try to get on PlayOnline and can't sign in to Live).

ffxi feels like slow motion on the 360, that is all.

Yeah ... cos every Xbox owner has got a HD tv, almost forgot that... and LCD adaptater is not even provided.

Why bother getting a 360 if you can't play it the way it is meant to be played?

My god...
No shit not every 360 owner owns an HD set, but like I said, what's the point on commenting on graphics if it's not on an HD set?
Fuck, if you're too poor right now to buy an HD set, you're too poor to have a high-end computer that could top a 360. Leave this topic, please.

Yeah whats the point getting a 360 or PS3, spending all that money on the systems if you don't have an HD TV? They were meant for that purpose. The HD is why they have "next gen graphics".

Btw that screen shot looks exactly like a 1200 resolution lol.

1600x1200 overlay, 2048x2048 background resolution. I also own a 360 with an HD.
