So christmas is coming up and from what i remeber from last year prices got so bad i just stopped playing for a few months. Plus with all the rtm i've seen lvling all over the place i am a bit worried that the same thing might happen again. they seem to be working overtime to get money drops. Even though SE said they put up "blocks" to prevent such a economic crash again do you really think they can prevent such a thing from happening again? I guess i'm just curious what everyone's thoughts about this up coming "Potential Katrina" were.

priced where rising by this time last year but seems prices coninue to drop not rise.

Wait for Thanksgiving to see the greatest ban numbers on file yet... SE has been holding out to give RMT something to thank?

Lets see my prophesy unfold.

Last year rose due to the gil duping Glitch mainly. If they flood the market again we might see some rise, but nothing like last year.

I just hope the gil is cheap again, I don't have a job and saving up for all that HQ BLM shit isn't going well.

In all seriousness, start buying all your Scorpion Harnesses and Haubergeons now, I'm guessing prices will inevitably boom.

or spider web and Wam. Cocoon

very poplaur demand during inflation

usually sold out every 10 minute, and 20 of them restock every 20 nminute

There won't be as much inflation this year. A) We weren't expecting it last year B) RMT prices won't be so cheap because of all the bannings. C) Also like Marajade said, a lot of the gil was the dupe thing where you could buy an item from an NPC and sell it for more than you bought it for to the NPC. This brought in huge amounts of gil into the system creating inflation. We don't have such a huge source of incoming gil this year and if anything we're seeing gil being removed from the system.

In conclusion I doubt there will be anywhere near as much inflation as last year. Maybe a little, but no where near what it was last year.

That type of duping is ridiculous, I used to do it when I was a noob with spells from the NPC. Me and my mate worked out that most of the people who buy spells from the AH in starter zones are rich high level players who don't want the hassle of finding an NPC.

He took White Magic spells and I took Black Magic spells :) Made enough to get me through the dunes, qufim and the jungles that way. It rocked :D

I think the blocks mean you cannot put an item up for an obscene amount of gil. Could be wrong though.

Shit on a stick. I'll be coming back during inflamation, better get ready to lvl a low lvl'd job cause i don't see my rdm going past 60 any time soon.

/crys in fetal position.

It'll either happen or it won't. Regardless of this however anything I wish to buy will continue to raise in price, and anything I wish to sell will continue to drop in price. Additionally once I have purchased something really expensive that I really wanted the price will drop by 50% or more since I already spent a ton of gil aquiring it. >.>

I'm betting almost everyone has felt that way about the economy at one time or another. =^.^=

Never knew of the glitch where you could sell to the NPC for more than you bought. I personally thought a ton of the inflation came from the Rusty Cap fishbots.
