A few friends and I were discussing how we're to go about gift giving this year. What we decided was, instead of going out of our minds trying tp find the "best" or "perfect" gift for each other we would buy sweaters, gloves, scarfs and jackets for the homeless in Toronto. Each year we spend more than is necessary on each other and this would be a wonderful gift for others. Best part being we could do this together.
Today at work I received an email stating instead of participating in a "Secret Santa", this year we would all buy gifts for women from a local womans shelter. The gifts would be handed out to the children of these women to be given through-out the year on different occasions, Mothers Days, Birthdays etc. This warmed my heart.
This year guys, if you can, and I know it's hard as we're not all well off (I know I haven't a money tree), give a little hope. Donate in the name of a loved one. We can all spread a little love.
