You all wear those necklaces, so why dont you all drop them when you die? Do you take them off and throw them away when youre about to pop your clogs to to spite me?? Grr



In case your wondering, this is the result of me realising I needed to collect 152 Yagudo Necklaces to be able to get Leviathan, spending a whole evening there and getting 12 :(

Freakin' buy zinc and turn it in to the Tenshodo in Bastok!

Not cheaper, but MUCH MUCH easier!


Why the hell can't people realize this? And hell, Giddeus is over-farmed anyway. Give it a break for the xp'ers there!
 
You need to make that "The Zinc ore is more expensive" like 600 times bigger.

I made a nice profit off beehive chips and silver beastcoins when I did it the ol' yag way.
 
I spent two nights in giddeus getting the equivalent fame for the utsusemi quest. Yes, it took longer, but at that time I didn't have the money to buy those ores. I just went to giddeus, naked, with a dagger in my hand, and always came out with 28 necklaces. I made several trips.... :shock:

Sub Thf for tresure hunter and the drop rate is great. I got all my necklaces while i was at work. Then again i was doing naked runs with 40 slots. I't took me about 30-45 min to fill up all 40 slots.
 
Hmm, subbing thf isnt really an option as I dont really want to have to get it to 15 to do this, and my main problem is downtime. Resting to get my mp back up at lvl 32.

You think I would be better taking my 20 war there to do it? Maybe war/whm to help the downtime. Obviously only fighting the tier 1/2 yagudo, no votarys, priests etc.
 
I suggest you get a nice WAR or PLD friend to help you, you owuld need to lvl some more though.

1) Get him to provoke a Yag and you dia it (to keep hate)
2) Have him run thru ALL of Giddeus and amass a HUGE train, when he comes back to you go buckwild with Your most badass -ga spells.
 
I've decided to go the zinc ore way. I have an LS mate who mines almost religiously who said he could get me the 150 or so ore il need in a couple of days :)

Gala, just borrow some mining gear. Start mining in Zeruhn mines (go get a print out map of all the mp and make a route). It should take you about 1 day max of mining to get enough ores/money for ores. You find about 6 zinc on a 30 min trip, 10 irons, possibly 1 DS if lucky. Sell those items, and just buy more zinc with the money you get from them (also compensate for pickaxes). You should have enough ores/gil for the quest easy.
 
You know what? DON'T do the zinc. Maybe reverse psychology'll learn ya. Can't mine well? Level smithing and/or goldsmithing and compress your findings to A)make profit, B) increase lower-level supplies in the AH and guild, C) carry more zinc out cuz Yughott Grotto is full of the shit, and/or D) tell your miner friends you'll buy the zinc off of them cuz that takes up as much space as yag necklaces and is harder to sell and *they* can go mine up more valuable stuff while you got the junk.

There's answers to everything like this. And remember, SKIP THE YAGS.
 
It took you that long to just get 12 necklaces? Wow... I didn't know TH made that much of a difference.
