Yankees miss playoffs for first time in 13 years

*clears throat*

fuck the Yankees

go Orioles.

Anyone who thinks A-rod is a detriment to that team is a damned fool. That is all. While he may suck ass in the playoffs, he basically single-handedly dragged that horrible pitching staff into the playoffs last year.

The Yankees problem is horrible starting pitching, not A-rod, or anything else.

I didn't mean he wasn't a good player. I was talkin' about the negativity he generated this year. More or less, it was a -joke-. The Yankees, truly, just didn't have what it takes this year pitchin' wise or offense wise when compared to many, many other American League teams. Just wasn't in the cards. That slump they hit after the AS break really, really killed it for them.

Yeah, I know you were joking, but the A-rod jokes are foundation-less, which is why I usually don't recognize them as jokes :P

Good thing Joe Torre's new team isn't doing well...oh wait.

The Yanks not making the playoffs is almost just as good as the Sox getting there. GO RED SOX!!!

They most certainly are not foundation-less. With all of his personal drama goin' on this season, you could hardly say they are foundation-less. Same with Jeter but his wasn't as drawn out. Then you also have the steroid issues, not particularly with those two, but I'd bet the roids were gummy bears to the Yankees. Also explains why ol' Andy pulled a Clemens this season, no roids no wins.

I think a big problem for the yankees was the psychological elephant called "last year at yankee stadium" that no one was talking about...

I think alot of veteran players had this on their mind but it was never addressed as a potential form of pressure
