yeah....so do you think people will pty in the new expansion?

in before "you can't cannon there, it sucks Marid wang".

But, here's to thinking it'd be a nicely balanced place to gain some exp (Black Mages too!)

Eventualy seems likely. Sigil is pretty nice, and we'll see what kind of camps SE opens up later this year.

I still haven't figured out how Sigil works. Maybe I should look it up >.>

It's basically Signet, with the ability to buy all the buyable Sanction bonuses. The only thing you're missing is the enhanced Sanction xp.

ffxiclopedia.org said:
  • he effects of Sigil is limited to Crystal War areas.
  • Sigil initially lasts 3 hours 15 minutes, and lasts an additional 15 minutes for each additional level of medal you own.
  • Players can only have one of the following effects at a time: Sigil, Sanction, Signet.
  • When getting Sigil you can choose one or more of the following effects for 50 Allied Notes each.
    • Regen (up to 75% of HP)
    • Refresh (up to 65% of MP)
    • Increased meal duration
  • The following effects are always granted:
    • You will receive an Experience Points bonus when in a party of less than 6 people, similar to Signet.
    • You will not lose TP while resting.
    • The rate in which HP is recovered while healing is increased.

Also the chance of random Pixies healing you during a party wouldn't be too bad.

I doubt it. With the release of ToA, the experience and merit grind that once is existed is much easier than it ever was even with the addition more merits per category and a second tier for each job. While, many players do have multiple level 75 jobs, there really isn't a huge strain on meritting or experince as much as there was pre-ToA. Actually, it's quite the opposite in my opinion as camps tend to be empty except around peak times and most times it tends to be difficult to get an invite due to lack of active seekers.

If anything, I expect WotG will be more instance fights like assaults, campaigns, HNM, BCs, hopefully another dynamis/limbus event and probably missions leading to another sky/sea. Basically, everything but experience. At least that's how I envision it anyways, but right now with such a huge lack of anything, missions or otherwise, it's anyone's guess.

WoTG should have viable camps, but I really hope SE leaves that in ToAU's domain. We don't need exp any faster or easier than it is in ToAU. There is the shortcoming of BLM exp in ToAU which SE could address if they desire, but even MtZhayolm seems to meet most BLM's needs fairly well.

Overall, I would love to see top quality development of addictive in game instanced content.

Yep, let's make FFXI more like WoW, and I'll want to play again maybe.

ToAU= merit. That was basically the main thing to do when it was first released too. They added tier II merits etc.

Wotg= still designed for 60+ player ; you still get xp at LV 30,40,50 but like 250 / campaign only. The introduction of miniquest (OP) -fast and easy - that give xp. There is no reason to waste your time doing escorts/sacrarium etc quests. There was a need for people to progress even w/o party invites. I've seen a couple of gob beastmasters though. Maybe you can get easy xp this way too. Idk if they gave pets high HP like in ToAU for automatons and raptors.

It's Shadowreign

...and there it is..

Btw, have they ever fixed that bug with the goblins disappearing in that Ops mission, I think it was Delta Strike? I don't recall seeing an update of it being fixed, then again, I haven't played very much this month.

Campaign has been boring ever since the Nations have taken over most of the areas and the too strong Npcs get in the way...

Try Rolanberry Fields when multiple Quadav armies attack back to back.

Yeah, you don't lose any exp, but spending an entire half-hour weakened still sucks.

Yeah but thats the fun of dieing so fast to the overly powerful mobs, I think i was with Clocian in Sauromugue Champaign where there was some Mega Boss Yag who had pretty much instant cast aga's and i think around 50 of us got raped by him...idk that just seems more fun to me then having wayyy too many NPC's just dominate anything in their paths.
