This is mainly for the people who download naruto via bitorrent. At the moment the only group that is keeping up with the JP releases of naruto is Dattebayo fansubs. lo and behold, Dattebayo was recently bought out by, you guessed it, FUNI-weruineveryanimewetouch-mation. from the stuff i read the majority of Dattebayo staff stay the same, i hope this means that the quality we are used too will remain the same. and i also hope that they don't dumb it down and edit shit out to make it kid friendly like they have in the cartoon network version.

any thoughts?
 
I thought that was just an April Fool's joke or something like that...

Edit: think about it, wouldn't they have just kept Dattebayo from putting out fansubs for something they have the rights to now?

if it's an april fools joke its a good one, the shit is still up on their website. longest prank i've seen lasted 5 days (it was a radio station playing the same song for 5 days straight /dies) anyway, i hope it is, and if it is, they got me ><; it it's not....fuck you funimation >.>
 
I can't see anything on that... Dattebayo's site or FUNimation.com.

FUNimation has been really good about censoring stuff lately... they don't butcher stuff anywhere remotely near as bad as other groups.
 
Just because they take the arm off at a joint rather then hacking through bone doesn't make them less of a butcher.

Hit the "home" link at the top-left corner to go to their main page, it has three links on this topic there, I still think it's a joke they're dragging out until they can come up with something else to put on the main page XD
 
Yeah I noticed that when they took it off of animesuki. I just hope this stuff is a joke. Though I'll probably still watch it if it isn't, it just won't be as fun.

But, from the article about the buyout-

That would never appear in a serious article. I'm agreeing that it's probably a joke they're too lazy to take down.
