Okay, how the Hell do you beat this damn thing? I know for sure it has more than 1 mil HP, 'cause I sat their on my ass for a little bit hacking away at it, watching my parties die, and come back to life. Can anyone help me? lol
 
I think it has 50 hp bars, each at 1 million hp...so like 50 million hp >.> Dunno how to beat him just yet xD sorry

Edit: And now I cant find where I saw that...so maybe I made up the part about 50 hp bars, but pretty sure it does have 50,000,000 hp

And from what I have read, you can run away and heal at save crystal and he won't regen hp as long as he doesnt have regen.

Really? I gotta try that, would make the battle a hella lot easier, maybe a little longer though. Do a Mist Knack Combo, run away, heal, repeat. lolz
 
Hell Wyrm or whatever, the mob with 8.5 million HP, allows you to leave the arena and heal up, and his HP doesn't go up. He was a bitch to kill too though.
 
Yeah, it said it was the same deal as the Hell Wyrm. Leave and he wont get back up.

I have read Yiazmat has 50,000,000 and Omega has 12,000,000 hp.

I haven't really read up on any of them. I beat Hell Wyrm, he was relatively easy. Have yet to face Omega, and have yet to try Yiazmat with the going in and out.
 
From what I understand you have to knock out one of his HP bars and then retreat. Try out Reverse Spell.
 
that's kinda lame.. I vow now to beat it in one sitting no going to a save crystal! :D

yiazmat has over 50 million hps hell wyrm sits at 10 mil and omega sit at 8 mil
yiamat and hell wyrm both do regen hps but that is only if you are out of there range for more then a minute
 
Omega is 12 mil I think, I sat there and counted as I hacked away at him for the longest sitting in the world. I'm now preparing with much food and what not for the 6 hour sitting with Yiazmat. Did 4 hours of farming for Gil Toss, which I read does pretty good, and also bought a shit load of X-potions, Hi-Ethers, ect.
 
i didnt know the save crystal trick when i beat it. I beat it with 2 rounds ( i exited first to save cause i wasnt ready for the fight). It is possible to beat it without zoning. All i had is max hp ( lv 99..), auto buble accessory for 2 chars and ribbon for 3rd cause it has stop status breath. Start fight by "armor break" ing it to the max, your hit zill do 20% more dmg or so. Have one person healer ( switch healer when they are out of mp) and 2 dd. raise gambit are a must a char dont stay alive more than 30s.

6hours later or so it will be dead. yes it has 50 hp bars witharound 1 millom each bar. its crazy. it goes really really really insane at 15% and even more at 1% hp/ then you spend 90% of your time reraising and a swing once in a while xd. and when you think this is the last hp bar... you just cry cause there is a hidden one after you deplete all the 50.

Fighting him right now...in a way. I have my gambits set up so that the game fights 'em for me. Now I can browse the net and do whatever else I feel like. Just need to watch my inventory and party leader changes when applicable. Not down to 50% yet so I won't call this easy, but so far it doesn't seem like much.

Aaand it's down. Nice to know it's over with. Good luck to everyone else who tries this one. Two things I'd like to say: One is don't hesitate to go and refresh your MP reserves at the save crystal. Two, I find it highly effective to beserk my DD guy (vaan) with his ultima blade. While this made it so I had to exit more often, the damage was dealth much faster than it was before I was having him berserk himself.

qft....last two bars I think he was getting at least six consecutive hits quite often. Be sure to bring lots of pheonix downs (magic is too slow IMO).

beating him zoning every 30 seconds is weak... I speaking of fight when you dont zone.
 
I tried him last nigh to see how hard he was, took off 4.5 hp bars before he wiped my main pt. Decided I would wait a little and try to get the rest of the espers and some other gear before coming back and seriously fighting him. Also tried Omega and imo Yiazmat is extremely weak in comparison.

Is this in reference to my post? I said nothing about 30 seconds. If you are, well then aren't you special :p. If I felt like using all of my elixers, megalixers, ethers, and hi-ethers, then maybe I'd have thought about a one shot fight.

And for the record, I didn't zone out every 30 seconds. Hell I could let it run without me touching the control for half an hour in the beginning. Near the end my chars lasted about 2-5 minutes depending on luck (or lack thereof). Anyway, they were level 90 so no max HP for me - bubble belt ftw.

Yeah, I have the players guide and it shows that the stats on omega are higher. Plus Omega is lv 99 where yiazmat is 70 something. Yiazmat is just more of an endurance fight. I haven't fought either one yet so I can't really say personally which fight is harder.
