Console war... THE GAME!

They need a cross platform online versus where all the Xbox 360 players get guns, the Wii players get that sword from red steel and the PS3 owners cast spells, and have the sides just go into a huge online warzone against each other. How freaking cool would that be? Just make it like really silly and over-the-top, all futuristic and tron-line with heavy metal blasting and thousands of people fighting in one giant server.

Hey, that's not such a bad idea. I was imagining it as I read it and I would play it if It was avialable.

I don't think there's a single part of that sentence that's not wrong.
 
Well, what if Wii had a bow and arrow setup? Like you hold your wiimote forward like a bow and pull back the wiichuck like the arrow then twist to release? Then the PS3 could have magic, but they'd all be shooting at each other.
 
It could be like the game that came out 4 years ago, planetside. But instead of the vanu, TR, and CG it would be nintendo vs playstation vs 360.

While having many 1000s of people on a single map is unrealistic, having 1000s spread amoung differing areas is practical, as when planetside had differing continents.

It's definitely a fun concept. But as you said, it would clearly need to be over the top and be as wacky as possible. For instance, maybe 360 players ride tanks and other things agreeing with realism. They could have their troops look like the gears or war guys, or as halo troops. Nintendo themes could include giant rideable pokemon tanks, troops that look like samus, and huge mario standing tanks, lol. As for PS, their troops could be the genone(sp?) army from metal gear.

fawk Duke Nukem XD Starcraft: Ghost looks like FAR more fun (specially online play if it's gonna be like C&C Renegade)
 
What if the Wii players were Mario-like cartoonish characters, they moved around like Mario, jumping on people's heads to get the kill, and used go-karts and yoshis as their transportations. As well they can get flowers to spit fire, leafs to fly, ext. When they take over a zone, it become cartoon-like.

Xbox were like Halo style, and they used similar controls as halo and were shooters. When they take over a zone it turns into that futuristic style.

And maybe PS3 is like Final Fantasy style, uses swords and magic, they have chocobos and airships and when they take over a zone it becomes that art style.

All sounds good except for Mario jump-kills, unless they had brokenly high HP / durability / whatever, they'd be completely destroyed by ranged Xbox / PS3 attacks.

Maybe give them full/abbreviated selection of Super Smash Bros. characters? Characters like Star Fox, Link, Samus, and <insert Pokemon here> could hold their own against ranged attacks.

PS3 would cast spells...

Wii would have the sword. Thats just the way the companies and their strongest games are. But this is too generalized... Super Smash Bros style!

Nintendo would have: Mario, Link, Samus and a couple other side characters...

Sony would have: Snake, Lara Croft (idk who owns her anymore), and that old guy with crazy hair from tekken

MS would have: Master Chief, and uhh..... Well, I dont really know many MS mascots... Maybe Banjo-Kazooie, hes theirs now... And throw in some more guys
