Thanks, I tried getting it for a friend on the next few pops but it wouldn't drop again.
There are plenty of other NMs like this, one of which is much more problematic than this one; but drops a much more common item. The Overgrown Rose is right beside the path from Yuhtunga to Yhoator...It by no means merits someone to take a chocobo to bloodwarp there, which I still don't understand why people do that. However, those are the risks taken when camping this NM. Don't be surprised when this happens.
I disagree that it needs to be changed. As it was mentioned earlier, when an 'asshole' kills it and warps/afks at camp, that's just the how the cookie crumbles. Afk and wait for the next chance. I believe this is more of a positive aspect, people can virtually camp this NM whenever they want. Have to work the next day? No prob. Kill the OG before leaving in the morning and AFK all day.
If you have the time to sit there for the entire camp, great! That's what I did. I sat there and watched the OG. A few hours later to my amazement, it popped, I outclaimed the two people /following it and got the drop.
The more problematic NM I was mentioning is Colorful Leshy. I've killed it once about a year ago when the Leshys weren't being raped for their Mistletoe.
And hey, I could whine and bitch all I want about other aspects of this game too, but I don't. I work my way around them, often to my own advantage.
Like Jaiko killing Goblin Shepherds to pop Wyvernpoacher. Omg, that NM needs to be moved or changed! Or else I can't kill the two BST for high exp chains on my BLM. /sarcasm
So instead, I ran between all three camps, thus hitting all four Shepherd's Leeches for much faster exp.
I mean, shit. I've been soloing on BLM from 25~54 so far, which I plan taking to 75. I've hit a lot of bumps in the road so far, albeit assholes and people who just don't understand what I'm doing. Or just the assholes who try to steal my camp and race to claim the pet. Or just myself, when I accidentally nuke the BST itself. These things happen and are often unavoidable. Take it with stride and don't give up.
