Balthier: And what about you Vaan? What are you looking for?
Vaan: (as everyone starts walking away) Well, I....uhh...I'm...

Solid proof that Vaan has no place in this game.

seriously.. Vaan was so.. pointless XD

No kidding. I know Tidus had a "tag along" role too but at least there was still a reason behind why he tagged along. Vaan is just there for a field trip.

Tidus' role in the end made him the most important character of the game. Not so much with Vaan

A serious quote from Balthier when talking to Cid in Draklor: "How could you do this? How could you fall this far?"

I honestly don't view anyone in 12 as the 'main' character. Basch, Ashe, AND Balthier all could be viewed as the main. Vaan and Penelo, to me, represented youths just entering the real world and is learning a great deal about things.

Vaan: Fran!
Fran: Hmm?
Vaan: I'm just wondering...about what she said about you saying the same thing fifty years ago?
Fran: ....your point?
Vaan: Um...How old are you again?
Fran: .......... *leaves*
Balthier: *sighs*... Nice, Vaan.
Larsa: Surprisingly rude.
Panelo: Try to grow up, please.

That one made me lol

Balthier: Yes, they'll drink all the electricity, but they'll give it back to you if you ask nicely, sticking a sword in them seems to help too.

Also made me lol, Balthier's like the new Auron.
