Your gear.

My WHM gear is by no means the best.

Curing:

Staff: Dryads with Staff grip
Ammo: Phantom (Hoping to get hedgehog bomb soon)
Head: Walahra Turban
Neck: Morganas Choker
Ears: Astral and Insomnia
Body: Nobles (Hoping to get HQ soon)
Hands: Blessed Mitts
Rings: Ether and Electrum to start then 2x sapphire when extra MP is gone
Back: Intensifying Cape (Hoping for Aslan soon)
Waist: Al Zahbi sash
Legs: Blessed Trousers
Feet: Cure clogs (Rostrum for other stuff)

For barspells, I macro in Enhancing Torque, Augmenting Earring, AF2 pants, Blessed Briault and AF2 feet

For resting, I switch to dark staff, errant body and hierach belt

Nothing too special. :S

ok i have 2 main sets, then my to impress people while i do my job set, aka gear swap set

all weapon/grip is light/dark staff and staff grip

Being elvaan i pump on the + mp gear

head/hands/legs: Zenith
body Nobles +1
feet rse 62
rings: ether/electrum ,assault/salvage Baliran <sp>
earring: insomnia/phantom <spouse took my antivenom> <no limbus for loq>
back: enhancing
neck m. choker
ranged h. bomb
1045 mp

Devotion/martyr I swap in these

head: W. turban
hands: garden bangles
earring: insomnia/etherreal
ring: Bomb queen ring/ behemoth <rng left over>
leg: vendor slop
feet: root sabot
neck: evasion <thf/nin>
ranged: easter egg with +1% hp
I pop on all the + HP i can. So far I get about 375 on devotion, and around a good cure 5 worth on mayrtr. My next goal is 400~

to impress people I will pull out af, relic, blessed, nobles and gear swap for every spell to make them all stronger. I say to impress because I have to mule a good hour to make space to hold it all. I also pulled it out for FL assaults.

You might want to rephrase this, as right now it sounds like:

To impress people, I play my job properly.

The fact you need to mule for space is valid i suppose to get the gear back from NPCs but only if you don't know you will be required to come WHM until the very last minute and are in a hurry.

for a career job can't be helped unless you know you're going to be on that job before x event. if it's just another 75 job for versatility or above average then maybe not so much.

good to see some well geared whms out there, I didn't know devotion/maytr was based on current hp assumed it was somewhat static.

back: enhancing
Enhancing's a bad back piece for MP, Invigorating's pretty cheap or assaultable, blue cape is very cheap. Then there's a ton of rare/ex capes with 20-30 mp on them.

I wouldn't bother with any AF. It's all very easily replaceable by much better gear unless you're the only one to enfeeble so you'd need AF body.

Why would you not want to "impress people" all the time though? Unless you mostly take your whm out to screw around, why wouldn't you want to make the most of all of your spells every time?

Cure V for me is about 880ish and with light day and or light weather can easily get to about 910ish maybe 950ish, Still have a lot gear to obtain to make 900's an all the time thing lol

With the gear I had listed, nothing else macro'd in, I'm consistent at 820. On Lightsday, I hit 840-890, with Korin Obi, on Lightsday(if I don't forget to grab it from mog safe, AND don't forget to put it on.....) my Cure V consistently hits 1045.(This figure based on curing too many overzealous MNKs >.>)

How do you get a 150 hp bonus with a korin obi on lightsday? The obi doesn't add extra hp cured, only makes the 10% added due to the day(which you already accounted for earlier) happen 100% of the time.

If I could achieve lights day and 2x light weather outside of temenos I would do 1224 cure v's but occasionally I get the random light day and a sch for 2/3 of the bonus. but never cared to take pics cause it's not full of epeen

Aside from that, there are hardly situations waranting you having to cure for that amount of HP.

Also, if we could ever get a chunk of windurstians to unlock the roundel earring should avg 900+ on any day of the week at the least.

Sorry it has been a while since I pulled out my af, but i think it was the AF hands that give healing skill bonus. So when I need to have good healing and maintain a good amount of magic I use them and other gear that ups my healing skill. For enhancing I found adding the gear that gives enhancing bonus to the barspells <plz incluce relic pants and the blessed top> actually add a few more points to the total resistance you gain. These came in very handy in my FL assault fights. This thread was about "your gear" not walking around looking elite.

As a whm~ short of a nin monster using his two hour or a smn astral flow~, most events will not need 900+ cure V spamming. So I choose to balance my mp with what is needed based on the event. In the sky shell I run with, on Kirin, I rarely have to cure the pld/nin kiter. Most time I am buffing, erase and barstonra. Then every time his chivalry is down and he needs mp, I will pop on HP gear cure 3 myself then devotion him so he can keep hate on kirin with his cures. How well other players do their job will say just how much you need to do to keep everyone moving more than 1.2k mp or +25% haste gear will <as whm>. Teamwork is more important than having 25 different armors for a job.

Bladewind is in the same dynamis shell and gave me a great lmao with his comments because most people rather I go as white mage because I will cure everyone and still main white mage in the tank party. I have only had two endgame shells not demand I go white mage....they wanted my redmage and paladin. I tend to be red mage now in dynamis because no one seems to want to cast sleepga or stagger sleep 2, or they cast the spells slow and we lose the puller. There are a few other good rdms in dynamis, but they are sometimes required to come as different jobs. As for his lolspace comment, he knows I am asked at the last minute to change jobs to one we need. Be it pld/rdm/whm/thf/<rng sky>. So I am required to maintain on me weapons, armor and accessories for each job, as well as space to pull out atleast one full set of armor.

In the cases of einijar, dynamis, salvage and limbus people try to start as close to on time as they can. Many players have only a set time period that they can stay, so being able to swap fast and be able to do what is needed far out weighs delaying them 1 hour just so I can epeen a 900+ Cure V or give them that extra 10 resist. Maybe it is not my gear that has impressed people but my ability to do what is needed so we as a whole in the event do not fail or are not slowed down to the point we lose the people to complete the task.

I rather players be able to do the job they are there to do without delaying us just "look good" blinking through armor as they cast spells. You never know if you are causing the other support jobs to lose target on you for their jobs. If white mage is your only level 75 job, more the power to you and the epeen of maxing every spell to it's fullest. The rest of us who have multi in demand 75 jobs will manage with the armor set ups we need to make sure we are ready and able no matter the job we are required to be. :nyam:

Also if you do nyzul isle assault there is no reason you shouldn't have korin/balrahns macro'd in there somewhere.

Blessed mitts return more mp on cure 5 than healing mitts do(on anything else healing magic doesn't matter), while having more -enmity, mp and haste. With the AF+1, you're only getting an extra 2.33 hp out of them while trading off that haste, so no, they're really not worth wearing ever.

The blessed briault does not effect the amount of elemental resistance you gain from spells like barfira. I don't even remember if there was proof that it actually did anything; although the last theory that I heard was that it boosted the duration or the bar-status effect spells.
