i can listen to anything thats *not* rap or country. I range from heavy metal to anime soundtracks. As far as favorite bands, lets see... i suck with band names since i download and burn most of everything (imma pirate yarrgh O_<) but heres a lil list:

rock: Green day, slipknot, linkin park, RHCP, Seether, System of a Down, Papa roach, My Chemical Romance, Disturbed, MXPX, Soil, 3 doors down. theres probably more that i cant just remember at this moment

Oh, if anyone else likes japanese rock out there, i like the pillows and Asian Kung Foo generation ^^

i also got final fantasy and other video game soundtracks, im a real music junkie. i mean seriously, 20 gigs of my harddrive is dedicated to music ><.

If by "emo" you mean "music that conveys emotion" than yes. If "emo" is limited to the bands you mentioned, than no.
