despite the effect on Hellstorms psyche and if it was flame baiting or not it was a genuine good times thread.. i was ecstatic that i could finally ignore him. It would have been acceptable if you would have typed something like this is flame baiting and I'm moving it to the flame board but it should not have been deleted.
 
So you just don't want to admit it was flamebaiting then? Man up and move on, holy shit. It should not have been made in the goodtimes, so it was removed from there. How something gets moved should have no bearing on anything.

Actually I will state it once more because you obviously did not read. The rep system is not the problem it is the way that the people us it. If a post is bad mods almost always remove it if it is reported, but there is no system like that for rep. Nor is system fair because people rate friends up and not for what it was meant for the post. If it can't be modded or corrected then yes it should be removed not ignored. Oh and romp please read whole post and stop dissecting mine thank you.

kidding aside, let's get down to business about this.

Your reasoning is flawed on one level, hells. By that logic, just because a worker insults another publicly in a shopping mall, the owners of the mall should shut it down entirely because of their "inability to monitor the actions of its employees".

That's not the application here in the real world. What happens is the owners and operators deal with the persons on a case-by-case basis, and weed out the repeat offenders.

You can fire someone from a job a lot easier than you can ban someone from QCDN, however. That's why that example doesn't work.
 
A) Damn thats funny, and sorely needed.

B) No, it didn't belong there, even I know that. I'm all for humor, but it was an obvious flame. You should've just posted it in the FB, and it would've been perfect.

C) With such an obvious flame, the mods should've just moved it rather than deleting it. They dropped the ball here too, although not as much.

Somewhere along the line something happened to Sharpe, or one of Sharpe's friends, that has soured his opinion of the moderation crew. All I can say is that, supposing he is right -- that by some means of arrangement, a double standard exists by a moderation staff composed of individual thinkers who enforce differently -- that topic, was a distinct flamebait.

I like to think Dejavu and I got along well enough in game that we could at least claim to be acquaintances. I would have given him the warning/infraction as well.

I'm for moving threads that turn into flames, but as you stated before, the initial post was flamebait and should have just been posted in the flameboard originally and then there would have been no problems about it. Even I know from personal experience and other people's experiences now what is appropriate for Good Times and whats not and I'm stubborn as fuck. Everyone else should be able to tell the difference by this point too.

Thin line sadly, if I moved the thread to the flameboard and they didn't mean for it to be a flame against Hellstrom then I would have dropped the ball on that. Either way, my balls have dropped.
