Very nice piece of armor. Any results on how it does compared to NBody yet?

He doesn't have N-Body yet, but maybe he'll get it w/ Einherjar. We'll see. From what I've seen with us duoin' almost all day sunday, it's pretty significant. He doesn't get the slow +13%, which kills you as a 2-hander. Plus, he gets Str and Dex +10. Big difference since those are the modifiers for Penta thrust. He doesn't need the accuracy +10 from hecatomb either and the crit+3% is nice. I think it may be broken (though he has capped merits in crit hit rate) but he would get a crit every 1-3 penta thrusts and it was definately noticeable. I dunno, but my opinion is that this is superior to N-Body. I'm definitely not saying that this is easy to get though XD

it used to if i remember right. Then SE reworked it and somehow improved pentathrust by removing the crit tp mod.I dont understand how that made it better but i guess the ftp went up or something as well.
 
It used to be damage varies, iirc.

one of the results that came out of a ton of testing from BG a while back about crit hit rate was that if a ws doesn't have crit hit rate as it's tp modifier it doesn't crit outside of SA/TA/mighty strikes. Penta thrust has a damage tp mod and therefor is believed not to crit. I myself have seen no proof of it criting.

That said this is very comparable to heca body for a drg, I personally ws in ares most of the time as I have no need for acc and there's no way I'd trade that huge amount of att and STR but comparing this to heca is decent. penta thrust is 20% STR 20% DEX you lose 2-3 acc and 2 STR but get 10 DEX according to my mental math it comes out slightly better than heca if you don't need that acc at all, of course for a 5 hit ws you definately want capped acc, which is why I still use heca body for mamool thfs and a few other mobs.
 
yes, crit was never a tp mod for penta. before it was dmg, now its accuracy
only skewer and vorpal thrust crit, perhaps the differences in spike damage came from double/triple attacks
 
I guess. I don't understand the spike damage if it's not from crit hit's. I suppose if could be from double attacks
 
Love the look, and congratulations. I saw some people fighting the sand worm the other day and Lanien's character was there and explained the whole thing. Sucks I had my camera tilted down and missed where it sucked everyone in. Once I kill the old fart I'll make my way to 75 and shoot for that for some good Scythe WSs.

I out parsed a drg/sam while I was the same he had with hectacomb harness, Hecta boots, my weaponskills were more consistant and higher. So far on G. Colibri's my highest damage was 2.2k while sub samurai. For the record I don't have any Hecta stuff because I haven't finished ZMs so this is definately a nice substitiute. They need to change Penta Thrust back cause since Acc Bonus 2 most Drgs don't have a big issue with missing unless they really suck and using crap food.

And all the Drgs should unite and bitch out SE cause we are the only job without multiple Tier 3 and up job traits.

Thats not a bad Hauberk-1 for some of those jobs though. Congrats
