I rarely post here, and almost didn't post this, but it annoyed me enough to go ahead and do it in case anyone ever has to deal with these two they know what to expect.
Yesterday, I was level 15 bard/whm, going out to duo with a 15 monk/no sub yet, new player. Quick search on Somepage showed that the Skeleton Warriors in Gusgen are level 15-17, so that would provide some nice chains as they would all be Even Match or Tough, and with a Monk, we'd do more damage to them. So, we get food, signet, etc, and head out.
When we zone in, I see no Skeletons. A quick look around and I see someone in a Vermy standing next to a lower level. I figure maybe they are trying for the skull and don't know it's only Ghouls so I ask Zalbar, who says "no." I then check them both and realize that Jehm is a level 16 BST/WAR wearing an event Yukata, Leaping Boots, an Empress Band, and an Axe. That's it. Zalbar is a 75 RDM/WHM. That's when I realize that they aren't in a party but that he is PLing her..... a BST.. the most soloable job in the game.
I think that it is ridiculous, but keep my opinion to myself. Sighing a bit because there won't be as many mobs with competition but I don't say anything and just proceed to pull when I can, pulling with Foe Requiem and running back to our camp near the NPC , Degga. This goes fine for a bit until I'm about to pull one and Zalbar comes running and casts Dia on it. Obviously as a 75 RDM he will get no xp for it, and neither will Jehm, since he cast on it. So I send a /tell "dude... why did you go that? Now no one will get xp for it" No response.
I pull a few more, then he does the same thing a couple more times in a row. I /say "Pretty sad that a BST has to be PL'd and even worse by someone that has to take mobs just to be a dick". I get a "stfu we been here long time" from Jehm. As Zalbar dias another mob I send a /tell "gm call, do you need it?" to Zalbar, who answers with "Please stop sending me tells or I will be forced to call a GM" ..... yeah... okay. So at that point I think about it and decide that I'd lose more time talking to the GM than just occasionally (and not very often) getting outpulled by Zalbar, and just stop talking to them and proceed to fight.
If it was just pathetic actions (PLing BST) or rude behavoir (Dia pulling mobs with a 75 just to hurt the competition) I may have ignored it, but both together really bothered me. Especially from two people that have 75 jobs, are in a Sky LS (Perfection) and arent noobs or RMT. I'm sure some devil's advocates will say it's a weak flame, or that all is fair, but in my opinion there is such a thing as courtesy. By all means, compete and outpull me to get your xp, but don't pull mobs that give you absolutely nothing just to keep me from getting them.
(Ironically, I did a search on here and they were on "Neighborhood Watch" for flipping out on some BSTs in Bibiki, lol)
