Ok, Ignore that the only people who could play this game would be wii users and even the basics of how the game would be played.... But I think it would be kinda fun. Questions, comments, complants, confessions of true love.....

Pupusa said:I agree with Westyle, if they remade 4 swords or perhaps even the SNES Link to the Past, it could work pretty well. If your talking about current gen Zelda games, no chance, it just doesn't seem like it would work with Zelda's gameplay style. I would love to see the virtual console to bring some of the old games with online multiplayer, or with new added multiplayer to single player games, maybe Nintendo will suprise us and start annoucing it.

but if I had to make the online zelda...I would do a sidekick type thing. Anytime someone enters a castle they have the choice of using a "shrine" near the entrance to summon help. This help would be a friend who would play as a dungean helper or something unique to the dungean.
Ex: Enter tree based level. Run to the shrine. Your friends online and enters the game as a nymph or a deku scrub. Then the monsters in the level double and you guys can run around while the monster constantly come at you while you have t osolve puzzles.
kinda crappy idea, but im not getting payed for this.

Kind of the windwaker where link had a companion needed to beat dungeons towards the end of the game. They can make puzzles where team work is required in order to beat it. Even if its to beat a boss. One has the ablility needed to knock him out or other ways to "expose his weakness" and the other person would have a different ablitly the other player doesn't have to hurt it while its in its weakened/exposed state.

And unfortunately the whole world would want to play as Link/Sheik clones.Uzor said:I don't think a Zelda Online game would work, sadly =/
While it would be fun, it'd be very hard to make with the storyline fitting in =/

Online games with iconic heroes fail at life, unfortunately. Check out the Matrix online for starters.
Hmm. I can't really see a class system working in Zelda either, another problem. The thing with Zelda is that you're the lone hero, and you save everyone else from getting totally pwned by a green ginger man. That's not fun if there's a party of six all doing super "you do this and absolutely nothing else or get kicked " roles like on FFXI.Trippyhippy said:How bout Star Wars?
That game didn't fail untill they made jedi a regular class which was in the past year.
It could be done, but Link would have to be a NPC controlled by a real person, not much unlike Darth Vader in SWG.
It could happen.
