So I had a stressful time putting together a group of 18 people, we didnt have any white mages, 3 red mage healers, 3 BLM's, 2-3 ninjas, scattered warriors, drks, what have you. Wiki says to bring it to the Bhaflau Thickets zone and have someone voke the add, then zone and the add would despawn. Can anyone verify it does indeed depop? It was the first time my ls tried it, we fought it on the bridge by the ??? because I figured we could zerg it before the Wamoura repopped. We got it to about 40% and then we had miscommunication and the pet evolved thus effectively ending the battle and wiping our group. Basically I'm wondering if you can give me a better way to do the battle so we can kill in the future. We only do T3's every other week~ Thanks

You're way better off bringing it to the zone like suggested. They will depop as long as only one person and one person only has hate on the pop and zones it themselves. Zerging it is tough and so is killing the wamourcampas before they reach adulthood. Once they reach adulthood you'll notice the mobs doing Curagas and Hastegas. I'm guessing that played a part in your wipe. Next time though, yeah, try the zoning trick. Be on the spot with noticing the spawns and zoning fast. Be sure to get some people together that you know are good players and that you can trust and are able to understand this strat.

Hmm, it doesn't spawn mobs if you don't kill the pets does it?

From what I remember of the only time we did it, we just had a few dedicated holders for the pets. Seemed to work pretty well, we only had like 14 people. (That or the pop people did kiting that I didn't nothing >.> I was busy nuking)

We had 14~ there and while they tried to take it down, it was essentially holding. Gradually over 4-5 popped and with the mobs around the pop spot respawning it overwhelmed us.

Leader then kept it around while we recover, then we decided to bring it to zone. Funny part was that we forgot the NM doesn't aggro so when he popped flee and ran our plans got destroyed. I ended up kiting it to the zone (not too hard) while the rest of the team moved behind me.

To OP: kite it to zone and the NM goes down REALLY easy, it was pathetic almost. 2 tanks weren't even needed in that case. It was just so easy.

Organics didn't drop ... /emo =(

By all means take it to zone with one member outside the ally to voke and zone (nin or /nin just to be safe) This thing isn't that bad at all.

I think we used a THF to do the zoning. Just make sure they are /NIN and its all good. Fire off a bolt and just run for zone, cant be easier.

ugh ok I need to change what i said a lil bit. One person CANNOT handle all the zoning of all the babies it pops, the pull is also hard but thf can flee it and not so bad. Achamoth itself is fine but you need at LEAST 2 people outside of ally zoning these babies. And does anyone know why some of them spawned claimed?

EDIT ok so second fight we did with 13, 3 outside zoners, not so bad but still aggravating at times. Ok actually it went 100x smoother, 1 death, blms zoned hate. had Thf train all aggro to zone with flee then pop and pld(s) or ninjas im sure would work fine just got it to zone and fought it. (J-7) was the zone we used.

If you're in the alliance and voke the pet then zone will it still despawn?

no, dont touch the pet in main ally. also my mistake i had 13 total, with 3 of them outside ally.

No need to have people outside the alliance. When I did it I made sure either who had hate zoned (not tanks) or someone in the alliance just zoned it. This was tested initially before the 2nd tank got there and I was the one tanking it initially and I had one baby attacking me, so I zoned it (while within the alliance). The 2nd tank got there to keep the NM's attention, when I rezoned it people told me that the other one had depopped. That spawn didn't go attacking anyone else or anything.

EDIT: We did I have 1 person outside the alliance but I am very sure that he didn't do it all alone and in the end anyone else "free" just got hate on the spawn and zoned. We shall test that again but I am sure of what I have seen, as crazy/messy as it was in that small spot/tunnel.

Figured might as well follow up with ya'll; we popped Achamoth 5 times tonight - went 5/5 with the strategy taking it to the Mount Z entrance and having 2 outside vokes for the pets. Total drops came to 2 Organics, 2 Aurum Sabatons, 1 Oracle Braconi and several grips.

On a side note it seems if you don't cast debuffs on it, it seldom uses Exuviation which regains 2500-10k hp. On our first fight I noticed someone casted poison for instance, it would then poisona/exuviation several seconds after, and it did the same move for other debuffs as well, with Exuvation following w/e spell to get rid of said debuff. A few rdm watching for dispel's is a must (or bard) as it prot V / shell V constantly. Even though the mob casts regen on itself or something akin to it, it's in your best interest not to debuff it to counter the regen just let it be. A solid skillchain w/ one-two MB's can easily take off 15-20% of its health.

grats on the wins. Not that bad really, Gotoh is still the worst imo.

2 Organics?

/emo

Go die in a fire. Etc =(

(then again we only did 1 pop so it doesn't count too much...)

We're ~1/10 on Organics, ~1/20 on aurum (between this and AG).

I'm very /emo at the moment

aurum boots from acha? sheesh we had 2 drop from 1 acha, 1/1 on second and 0/1 on third =/ They went to free lot too. But we have had shit for luck on gears boots drop rate.

I'm desperately wanting Organics (well not desperate but it looks cool!), hoping to do 2 pops tonight.

Popped 5 last night and reported 2 Organics, and 2 Aurum. (not sure on the Oracles as I didn't make it). I am going to assume the random rate is about ~25%, I don't usually update the Wiki until I have about 10 records minimum and then only as an "~" until we get some additional feedback.

That being said, I would have to vote Nosferatu as still the roughest in that Tier / Path.

Very, very limited experience with both Nosferatu and Gotoh (2 fights each) but I would say the same drop rates for their respective equipment. Gotoh dropped all but Nagerling when did it with LS and dropped Nagerling + grips when did it helping others. Nosferatu dropped Aurum both times. Looking do more of these soon and I'll update the rates. Gotoh was pretty easy with a party using kite/nuke, just took > 45 Mins. Nosferatu was 4 manned 3xBLM+RDM, and obviously took a lil longer.
