Zombie Movies

Glad to see so many 28 Days/Weeks Later fans on this board. That series and Shaun of The Dead will always top my list until something better comes out.

that was good stuff until 28 days zombies were slow then they became track stars made it a lil scarier imo

My favorite zombie film is 28 days later. The way its set in London is really cool, and I like the way they've made it more realistic by taking away the undead aspect to it, a nice twist.

Although, I'm a bit wary of recent zombie films. I watched Resident Evil: Extinction and was left thinking... "Oh dear god, what you done to the resident evil series?!".. The first film was pretty hopeful, the second was ok and the third made me want to face palm, especially so at the way it ends. Is it just me or has it gone over the top now? >.>

As much as I like 28 Days Later, those aren't zombies.

I'm not a fan of fast zombies. It's a hundred time scarier when they're slow, because it's easier to underestimate them. An important aspect of Romero's apocalypse is that the living are just as big a threat as the dead.

Zombie movies are stooopid. Vampires and werewolves are way cooler.
I agree with this.

Yet, monster movies alike are good. Me I like the evil dead series Bruce campell and his boom stick. 28 days/weeks was good to but not like the classics.

As for dawn of the dead(2004) was good first time I saw it, but was played so much on tv just got little old.

I really didn't enjoy diary of the dead. Right up there with land of the dead as the worst in Romero's "Dead" series. I think part of the reason is because i watched Rec first. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1038988/

Another interesting experience is watch Night of the living dead original (1968) and remake (1990) back to back and see all the changes they made in the remake.

My favorite one got be braindead, it's great to see what kind movie Peter Jackson can really make.
