Shhh Zaltana.
Went to OBGYN yesterday. 152 heartbeat and everything is going great! They did more blood work to check the baby for :
Neural Tube Defect : Incomplete closure of the fetal spine that can result in spina bifida or anencephaly. (In other words, the baby's spine sticks out where the tailbone is supposed to be.)
Abdominal Wall Defects : One type of defect occurs when a muscle and skin that cover the wall of the abdomen are missing and the bowel sticks out through a hole in the abdominal wall (gastroschisis). Another type is when the tissue around the umbilical cord is weak and allows organs to protrude into this area (omphalocele).
Heart Defect : The chambers of pathways through the heart that are not properly developed.
Down Syndrome : Mental retardation, abnormal features of the face, and medical problems such as heart defects occur.
Trisomy 18 : There is an extra chromosome 18, which causes sever problems with growth and development.
Get those results on Jan 30th when I go back to my OBGYN. It's still an active little bugger and the doctor could feel it moving when he was trying to hear the heartbeat. At least this time the bloodwork was only 1 tube instead of the 8 tubes they took last time. ><
Edit: I was supposed to leave for Basics today.
