Ahh that sucks about PLD being less useful. Monk is my first love, but I've got a soft spot for the PLD, but it seems like they tend to end up getting outshined by the other tank classes. What was it that made the WARs that much better than the PLDs in 14?

They did, but I'm pretty sure they have said when ARR releases you will get at least a month free to try it out. Though it will be subscription based after the trial runs out.

Yeah, that is a good point. Release is supposed to be sometime around March-June which is a ways off yet. Unfortunately.

It's great to go back to focusing on QCDN as just the FFXI Quetzalcoatl site, but it might be a good idea to pick a specific FFXIV server as opposed to the choice last time to keep it general. Granted 1.0 blew, but ARR is looking to be pretty sweet and I know myself and some of my other FFXI...

I was having a great time as my Wanderer yesterday. But, apparently this game is too hard for my PS3 since I came home to a red screen of error messages. So...that's awesome...

I watched some portions of a stream from a Japanese player... Can't wait... longest two weeks of my life D: Also, he was using a whip at one point haha. I don't think I've ever seen a video game with a whip for a weapon except for Star Ocean 2.

On one of the loading screens I noticed it said that Warriors gain stamina back when they kill mobs, rogues when they hit mobs, and I don't remember what the Mage was...but they all have some kind of stamina/mana regen in battle. So that is why you weren't running out.

I'm excited for this, but I'm a little disappointed in the over-the-top action-movie style approach they went with for the combat. I prefer the "realistic" fantasy style of the first one. Something about the rogue ninja-jumping all over the place, spin-kicking stun bombs and teleporting behind...
