Omg how many 70+ drks beat this old bastard. Jees i think i know what i did wrong but a quick question scythe or GS? i have been using scythe and seems to not be working for me.

Edit: I looked online one day and found a lvl 70+ brd. I spent like an hour asking him everything he did to prepare for the fight with Maat. (Thanks Sausogue! :wink: ) People tend to be really helpful especially when they can brag that they did it first try or really quickly. t(>_< /em doesn't get to.

Did you use a slayer's earring?

Level 70 earring, DRK only, latent effect of -20% damage taken. Latent effect trigger is yellow HP, I believe.

-20% damage taken when fighting Maat sounds like a good deal, I'd say...

Also, I believe using Souleater + Blood Weapon + Kraken Club makes a very dead Maat... good luck getting the club, though.
