If he had used Daveman to request it from the start, or any other member of his shell, then there wouldn't have been a problem
Actually that was the plan all along, we anticipated that if a thf held the knife off runs then some members would feel cheated or taken advantage of, so we were gonna keep the knife somewhere where it couldn't be used outside of dynamis anyways.
Nalia, no, I'm not in your shell, but there's no way in hell I would ever join either. I've been in 2 linkshells that Peregrine pulled for, both of them sucked. When people started to discuss the strategy for the pulls in Dynamis - Jeuno for the one run I attended with them, Peregrin called everyone who qustioned him idiots and how we didn't know anything about dynamis. He seems to finally have pulled his head out of his ass regarding pulls/strategy, but based on reports from people in your own shell, it's still not as good as you and him are making it out to be. Actually, a lot of the people I've talked to said that the only reason they're in your shell is because it's the only one that's accepting members. The fact that he's constantly recruiting everyone who so much as says "I might be looking for a dynamis shell" comes off as him unable to keep his membership, so it's hard to believe that he's doing an excellent job as you're saying if people keep leaving.
You're right our linkshell sucks, lets all just disband and pack up and go home. Oh wait, nvm you're just someone on the outside with a biased oppinion. How about this, we used to lose every single run, now we win every single run, and lately we've not only won but had ample farming time. The linkshell is getting stronger, but you wouldn't know that of course, you're not in the linkshell, you only listen to negative news, and take that as the only news, ignoring all the good news. The strats we use are pretty good, and came from pere, you wouldn't know of course you're not in the linkshell.
Also define alot of the people? You're probably talking about out low attendance members who join/quit within a month, how about our reliable members who enjoy the linkshell? You're talking about the type of person who only wants to be in a great linkshell, and doesn't want to help build one, or be loyal to a linkshell unless it's already a great one. We get told plenty of times by new members "This is the most fun I've ever had ingame" ant etc.. during one windy run with 36 people, 50% of the people have never beat windy, the other 50% were like "wow that was the smoothest and best windy run I've ever seen".
We're not the best we know that, but we're also relativly new and still growing, and things are looking bright for the linkshell.
His gear is also our business, because he would be ineffective if he were to do anything other than pull, which is what he does for your linkshell. In an exp party, your gear can speed up or slow down the exp flow, effecting others; in HNM, your gear determines how hard/often you hit, how much damage you tank, how often you evade, your nuke damage, your enfeebling rate, your curing potential. This game is based off numbers and formula, and gear is the only way to effect it; so yes, gear is very important. Skill plays a role as well, but most jobs are all about the dice roll.
I don't know much about thf, but hey guess what? He's an effective puller and does his job well. Don't invite him to your pts, your hnmls, or anything if you think he's gimp. Gear or not, he does his job well in dynamis.
Daveman, when were these polls made public? I certainly never saw an option to vote for what your linkshell does with the coins. Because of that, I'm assuming that by public you mean open to all members of your linkshell, which is still private. The fact that you made a poll is good, since it lessens the chance for abuse.
Public was the wrong word then, but it was free to all members of the shell to vote on, even if you only went on one run. (and an outsider who really wanted to wouldn't have a hard time getting a vote in anyways)
No, I don't know the internal affairs of your linkshell, so the only thing I can go off of is Peregrine's bullshit. I personally don't feel like this is a good move, because a thf knife won't really help your LS; it would take months/years to pay off the cost of a thf knife with the few extra coins you would get per run, if any. It's still your call, and you being the one in charge of the knife makes me feel a hell of a lot better about it, since I know you're not going to run off with it.
Weather or not the knife helps doesn't really matter, it makes us feel better inside, and even if during our whole ownership of the knife, we only get 1 extra af2 because of it, it would technically of been worth it, it's not like we have a broad range of uses for linkshell money, as we're a ls that meets twice a week. Anyways, mistake or not, it's not worse thing in the world for the dynamis shell to do, if it doesn't help, at least it wouldn't hurt either.
