90+ people dead in London

No, we will never have a version of the patriot act. The public would not stand for such a blatant disregard for their right to freedom. We have already had to deal with innocent citizens being sent to the hellhole that your government set up in guantanamo bay.

The event may be deplorable, but we will not allow the government to use it as a tool to increase their power and rule with fear and the threat of further attacks as Bush has.

Uhhh...... THEY HAVE PLAYING CARDS AND CHECKERS IN THERE CELLS. There POW's untill trial. Do you know anything about a POW camp? This is candy.

We were attacked out of retaliation for occupying their country. WE SHOULD NOT STILL BE IN IRAQ. The violence against US and UK soldiers happens because we are occupying their country.

We got rid of Saddam (Good thing), we helped set up a democratic government (Good thing) but we still have armed soldiers occupying their country, why?? For peacekeeping? The violence is against our soldiers and in protest against our occupation. If we left, that wouldnt happen anymore.

Us being in their country ony gives them excuse to insigate violence against us.

The thing that annoys me more is the constant linking of Iraq and Afganistan. Afganistan was/is the home of Al Qaeda and the terrorist supporting Taliban. They were responsible for 9/11 and the Taliban were dealt with after.

Iraq was completely different, and not connected to 9/11 or Al Qaeda AT ALL, despite Bush's continued insistance of assosciating them together.

Do you really think that if we left that democratic government would last more than 5 seconds. someone else just like saddam or prolly even worse would take over within the day.

If you want to discuss being in Iraq as right or wrong you should join the discussion we have going here. I realize not many of you check off topic.

How would someone else take over? The populace would not let them now that we have removed the man who used soldiers and mass weapons to hold them in line is gone. We have shown them that they do not ahve to be subjugated. We have given them their country back, well at least that is what we are supposed to have done.

Let the Iraqi people defend and govern themselves. We ahve no reason to be there anymore. All that is being gained by remaining in Iraq is sending more of our own soldiers to a place where they might be killed.

Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has offered asylum to bin Laden, who openly supports Iraq against the Western powers.Despite repeated demands from Washington, the Taliban refused to hand over bin Laden after the August 7 bombings of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, demanding proof of his involvement in terrorist activities.

They are connected and if you whould quit playing long enough to read a few things other than this board you whould see that.

We are there to hunt for terrorist cells operating in both countries and to maintain the government that has been installed.

Why is it that most MMO players are anitwar when all your doing is fighting for <insert race, city, good/darkside>?

I'm sorry for going off track and off topic, I'll leave this thread alone for now, I just dont want to see Americans using the tragedy that has happened in my country as fuel for their argument on the side of war and revenge.

I'm not bothered about revenge or getting back at the perpetrators, I just don't want any more of my countrymen to die needlessly.

Thoughts like this is why I hope to God one day America wises up, leaves the U.N., and these people are left with some major problem. We hold everyones hand, pay for just about everyones problems but when we decide to do something in retaliation all we get is bitching and moaning. You don't deserve what we've given you and you most certainly don't deserve to be on our allies list... Freedom comes at a price and not every generation will be able to just bask in it. There will come times when you must protect your land, rights, etc. and people will need to die to keep things going for up and comming generations. That's how it is. don't like it ? Boo hoo you're worthless.

As for us still being in Iraq we are there for a reason. Whatever the reason may be it will pay off that we are there and those people are getting a better life day by day. If they as a majority didn't want us there we wouldn't be there and if no one would have stepped in further problems would have been sure to insue. Most people are to blinded by the bad sides of war and their views on Bush to see the good comming out of it. I would bet you if Kerry would have gotten elected he wouldn't be given half the trouble Bush has been given for the war and would have done nothing different. To those folks, pull your head out of your ass and get real. Truth > politics

Also, I'd like to point out, more people die to murder in most major U.S. cities (not totalled together but seperate) per year than troops have died in Iraq.

The tragedy in london is deplorable. My heart goes out to all affected by it.

To all those so pro-democracy for other people/countires i have this to say: Mayhaps if were still under a true democracy in the united states we'd have a better handle on how to lay it down for other people.

It's not about Democracy. Are you really so dumb you think this?

Yeah...sorry to post on topic but as of about 20 minutes ago the death count is 38 and 700+ injured.

And according to the news it was 3 train bombs and 1 bus bomb. but one of the train bombs blew open a wall and hit two other trains.

...that is all feel free to continue arguing over iraq or w/e.

My heart goes out to our brethren across the pond.

May God bless you and keep you.

it said 90+ casulties on the london news because for them im guessing casulties means injured, for them >:)<

Terrorism is not going to be defeated. Ever.

Its not possible, by the very meaning of the word itself. (And by definition alone, GW Bush is a terrorist)

In order to end this 'war' on terrorism, prepare to interrogate and evaluate every man woman and child alive on this planet, and then keep them under constant video surveillance.

Declairing a war on terrorism is like declairing a war on jealousy...

So you listen to David Cross too? :D

Are you so dumb you can't pick 2 ideas out of 1 post. let me break it down for you asshole: Point 1: What happened in london is a tragedy. 2: people started talking about iraw and crap so i said "To all those so pro-democracy for other people/countires i have this to say: Mayhaps if were still under a true democracy in the united states we'd have a better handle on how to lay it down for other people. " Now, next time you'd like to go slinging insults simply b/c you forgot to brush up on your hooked on phonics do me a favor and keep your head up your ass where it belongs.

Good day.

Wow, you just did it again. Dumb+2 GG keep it up. I was hitting on "Point 2" so what's your point on that ? Make some sense of it please if you try again. I fail to see where reading comprehension would play a factor into my comment. My comment was clear and your retaliation makes no sense at all. I'd advise you to hit up Hooked On Phonics based on that horribly written and meaningless retaliation. Get a clue before you try to bash on me please. I hate arguing with idiots.

Mayhaps if you asked a question i could impart wisdom to you, but since you basicly did what you accuse me of in your first reply i'd imagine any conversation we could have would be negated due to your lack of structure in post. The comment was directed towards those who felt the need to bring up america's role in the "war on terror" and bringing democracy to terrorist nations that have it not, i was simply pointing out that we (America) left true democracy to wither and die some decades ago, and before thinking to bring it to other people it would be nice to bring it back home first... anyway, since you seem so fond of insults (reference to your first post) i'll leave it to you since i have better things to do with my time.

I have no need to be part of a thread hijacking due to any comments made in here, as such i shall leave my posting in this thread at this: What happened in london is a horrible thing and my heart goes out to all touched by it, may those who are accountable rot in hell for all time.

Ok seeing as you still fail to see my true reason for posting my comment I'll try a more civil approach.

I don't care about your point 1 in your main post only point 2. So throw away point 1. What happened in London was bad I agree but my views on that are better left unspoken. That aside, I commented on point 2 ONLY. Hopefully that aspect of our convo is now clear. Now why did I say what I did? Simple. Though I shouldn't have resorted to calling you dumb the statement was full of ignorance. We are not there to install Democracy, we are there for much more and if you talk to anyone who is or has been over there you will learn the same.

As for the state of Democracy in America today...it has never flourished so much. I even think due to the way people are these days we'd be better off instituting a form of "peoples communism" much like China has. We have to much democracy atm for our country not to fail soon if changes are not brought on to strengthen and discipline our society.
