So there aren't any leaders in any parties you've participated in? No one suggests anything, and no suggestions are followed? I don't believe that for a second.
Defined, "Politics is the process by which people choose leaders and policies to be followed" and discussion thereof is politics, if even on a small scale, and is not limited to matters strictly involving government of nations.
With your definition, I agree, there is politics everywhere, but dont you think your a bit too general (I'm simplistic, you're general, same mistake

). Your still not in the subject there, I was (and you were in your precedent posts) speaking about politics from outside the game ... geopolitics (and a bit of xenophobia). In my opinion, these have nothing to do in this game (or should have nothing to do, nothing is perfect).
Sure, but you were complaining about the use of the forum, not simply disagreeing with my ideas. I WOULD expect you to, if you feel the need, disagree with me.
That's right, I was complaining about your ideas AND the media you choose to express them. On allakhazam they have a word for what we are doing here : Hijacking the thread (at a certain level only, we are a bit far of the original subject, but still in the general idea).
Fictional setting with real people interacting. If it were me and the computer, no politics.
Yep, but it's a RPG ... you're not supposed to be what your are in real life. (I know, it can be difficult, but that's a part of why ppl play this type of games).
How is that demonstrating that I haven't learned from history? that statement "demonstrates" excrutiatingly little.
I thought it was clear. Let me develop a little. What I see in your precedent posts is :
- Some historical facts
- A lot of stereotypes and generalization.
You've already proven that you knew your modern history ... but the use of stereotypes and generalization make me believe that you don't "learned" (understand analyse here) from history. Racism, xenophobia and generalization took a great part in the worst evenements which happens in the last century (and a few others

). So for me "learning" from history is to not repeat the same mistakes our ancestor did : using stereotypes and generalization.
This thread started with Japanese prejudice against NA players. Is it all because of the gameplay of NA players? I highly doubt that it is. I'd be surprised if it weren't part of it. More accurately, it is probably the result of self-fulfilling prophecies. Because certain people hold beliefs about Americans (beliefs based in politics and history) they wait for us to fail. And, being human, sometime we make mistakes. Thus the JP can confrim "See? He fucked up! Told you he would!" and any positive interaction is diminished. Which isn't to say that some NA players cannot, and DO not, have the same expectations of other players.
You're right, but do you think making some "smart" WWII comments will help ? Or when someone complain about stereotypes, giving him more stereotypes ? Some ideas should not be used, even for making a joke.
Like Farys said, stick to individuals ... some are nice, others are not, some are racist, some are elitist ... great, that is why the blist command exist.
