Either way, it was before he were "broken"

Okay, 7th page, I think it needs to be said.

I know English isn't your native language, Uzor. But the word you're looking for all this time is "was." "Were" is the plural.

Question...these people are reporting seeing this mystery effect but didn't screenie it because they had effects filtered?

...Then how did they see the effect, since it's, uhm, filtered? Or am I missing something?

I believe what they're saying is that the person who saw the message did not take a screenshot, and that the other people who could have taken a screenshot had their filters up and did not see this message but heard about it from the thf.

Yes, I know. I wrote it at like 4 AM <.< And I don't feel like going back and correct everything <.<;

The person who got the effect plays on a PS2 is the word.
And the other people didn't see it cuz of filters.

I have friends on remora who continue to try him out every week. They have yet to find a solution. I believe AV has a way to be defeated its just we have yet to find it, and if another linkshell on another server has found a way maybe they have yet to share it or worse are unwilling to share it. However i doubt any linkshell could refuse the temptation of being known across the servers as the first linkshell to conquer AV after the changes. I am not in sea yet but I do have a question to the more experienced sea people, is there any consumable / r/ex item that may lock his 2 hours.? sorta like mammets in 2-5. I think maybe the mod's of the forums should start an AV trial/error thread in which ls's can post there methods tried and whats effective / not. Well thats if anyone tries =D.

From what I've heard people have tried literally everything on him, from using any item imaginable, to specific weapon skills with specific weapons with specific jobs. Stuff like killing other jailers while he's up, doing stuff in whole other zones.

So personally we've never tried to use items on it, but I'm sure other ls's on other servers have unsuccessfully. You can probably find all the info on BG's forums.

I know Jinzo really well and i know he won't make something up like that. I was also present when AV was up and he did sneak attack and trick attack and he hit it. He also did Perfect dodge and he pretty much lasted like 1 min playing with him. And no he doesn't have justice torque. Only the sword. Jinzo is in love with his justice sword. He take with him everywhere he goes with his thief. Most time he uses on ballista.

I was kinda surprise with Silfer respond, cuz i could of sworn Hailie told me she got the message of the sword also. But maybe she was referring to something else. I dunno....
actually I never said he was lying, all I said was quitita said he was not sure but he thought it was jinzo. You really read to much into it, I like Jinzo and know him from dynamis and was in antares at one point to. All im stating is if there was a latent effect it would normally show some sign. Like different dmg or stat boost. I love my justice sword use it all time when rdm/nin it great sword. Im just saying that it dont seem right that you have charge a weapon.

Then again... this is SE - twisted little things go down in their heads... like unlocking the WS's and KSNM weapons. I wouldn't at all be surprised to find out weapons used on other Jailers, must somehow be charged to fight AV and lock his abilities. (However, the fact the weapon must have the killshot does seem a bit much). If TH doesn't get a boost with killshot, why would SE decide to make that the trigger for 'activating' a weapon to be used on AV.

I don't think you need to get the kill shot, only having hit it once (and have it equipped) when it die should count. Iunno though, SE might have decided to be evil and make the killing blow count >.<

see the ks weapons you will know when the upgrade is done though due to the stats change (your attack will rise). The largest flaw with the theory is that there is no way to tell if the weapon is charged or not. As much is SE is twist I don't think even them would be that evil, however the weapons might have a hidden killer/asorb effect but only procs twice in blue moon like some other weapons ie: dansheif. blood sword, ect, ect ...

That's not a flaw in the theory, though. You're assuming that all weapons work the same way. just because one weapon works one way, doesn't mean every weapon have to work the same way.

QFT. Yes, SE can do whateverthefuck they want to with this game, it's their game. Including a pink goblin that shoots flowery hearts at anyone with a fishing rod equipped for 9999 damage.

Honestly, I'd say that KS weapons are a flaw in Hellstorm's theory... there's no indication they've unlocked, besides eyeballing and/or parsing.

No it won't. There is no indication whatsoever in your stats if you equip a weapon with 99 base dmg or a weapon with 1 base dmg, as long as they're from the same AH category.

Just as a random thought... what if completing a Tier 3 skillchain were to activate the weapon.

Tier 3 - 100% chance at activating the effect.
Tier 2 - 67% chance at activating the effect.
Tier 1 - 33% chance at activating the effect.

If Love Halberd (I dunno if this is a real one) - finished the WS - maybe would lock Benediction, Chainspell, Manafont (randomly chosen WS's by me - could be others just the same).

if that was the case you would be making a impossible to solve puzzle. There would need to be some hint or clue to how to trigger it, While ill agree that weapon may have a hidden effect I still don't think it work by killing x amount of aerns.

No offense, but this is the most retarded post ever made in the history of the internet.

Do you think Missions, pop NMs, Quests, Latents, and WS Point-based attributes are put in with walkthroughs? They start off as "impossible to solve puzzles."

Progress with AV is slow, because a small fraction of the playerbase actually does Sea, and an even smaller fraction than that has actually fought it.

Its only impossible if you don't attempt to solve it. When the cube thingy (its name slips my mine atm, the one you turn and match colors up) people thought it were impossible to solve. Now people can solve it in as little as 10 turns.

Possibly, although I'm not sure. I do believe the THF were offhanding the sword, since dagger is his strong weapons, so the WS's he did didn't involve the sword, and should thus logically don't count. Although I suppose its possible that it counts the SC itself and not the WS you do.
