Absolute Virtue

Also, as for the whole "people have tried everything," I call bullshit. Has anyone tried making everyone pelt him with pebbles? Most likely not because it's a completely ridiculous idea. And those are usually the ones that work. Theres always something you can try. Just because it doesn't make sense doesn't mean it's dismissable.

Rubik's Cube, Uzor.

Yeah, that's the one. The only thing that popped up in my head were "Heradric's Cube" from Diablo II -.-

Although I suppose its possible that it counts the SC itself and not the WS you do.

Strikes me as a strange precedent if it does, since trial weapons and such don't gain points when offhanded. Has anyone tried that MAB club to see if offhand effects apply to skillchains? (I'd assume they do)

Unlock possibilities that I can see so far:

-Standard WS point unlock (assuming he mainhanded the sword for some extended period, like skillupping from sub-100)
-Kill tally, as the suggested Aern farming, or just plain kills
-Virtue Stone consumption (Eat ## stacks, unlock weapon)
-Something else that it's too late in the day for me to remember

Straight up get Halberd from JoL, attack AV with it, is apparently impossible, since meleeing with jailer weapon / torque has been tried before, and accomplished nothing. There needs to be some unlock. It's not a rare additional effect with no extra trigger, because melee has been tried before, if there was an effect, 6-12 people with various jailer weapons pounding away on AV would've found it over the many attempts at that which have been made. (Unless it's 1/1000 chance or less, at which point we can just call AV pure luck and go do Salvage.)

And Hellstorm, please, stop talking, or I'll send you my doctor's bill when my eyes explode because of your posts.

Unfortunately, there are infinite unlikely, unprovable theories on locking AVs Casting and/or 2 hours, and still no certainty since the last update that "fixed" him that they even can be locked or are designed to be...

People are going to attempt the theories that make sense, or are at least consistent with what's known of game mechanics, and with what is known of AV first though, rather than trying obscure combinations at random in the hope of triggering something.

If it's any help to anyone, before the AV that popped last time, we TP'd on the local Aerns with all of the Jailor weapons, killing at least 2 (may have been 3), and we saw no messages during the fight.

No offense, but this is the most retarded post ever made in the history of the internet.

Do you think Missions, pop NMs, Quests, Latents, and WS Point-based attributes are put in with walkthroughs? They start off as "impossible to solve puzzles."

Progress with AV is slow, because a small fraction of the playerbase actually does Sea, and an even smaller fraction than that has actually fought it.

Don't make me find a dumber quote Skaw, I'm sure it would be easy enough to do - :thinks back to the days of Colbwa:

Anyways, no need to get personal here. We're all aiming at the same goal of figuring A.V. out, and even if someone's idea is stupid, its the same means to an end as anyone else's idea. Who knows... it could be the right stupid idea.

Saying it's an impossible to solve puzzle isn't an idea of how to defeat an obstacle, especially when everything starts off in the same situation. If you go back 2 years ago and tell people that Kirin can just be melee down, they'd laugh at you.

True, it isn't logical to say its impossible to kill, because SE keeps saying it is. No one can speak to SE's intents, in regards to AV being impossible, when SE said their DevTeam can kill it.

I'm more concerned about turning people off that might come up with a random stupid idea, that might be the trick to locking AV, and worried they'll get flamed. I'm fascinated with the AV dialogue/story and I earnestly want to see it figured out =)

What do all the Lumininions say in Ruhmet/Hux - Can we get a compiled list of all their dialogue? Maybe there is a riddle in the information they provide in doing the maps.

I'm not too sure, but I believe they're strictly back-story about what had happened to Al'Taieu as whole. The ones outside talk about the dimensional environment if I recall right. I don't think any of them talk about the Jailers/AV.

You killed 3, yes, but we can't be sure 3 Aerns are even enough. 3 Aerns is a rather small sample.

Saying that this is some puzzle? It's not. It's broken, that's that.

Ever done Dynamis-Bubu before? The mega-boss is like AV where he summons pets wvyrns and uses all 2hrs.

You lock his certain two hour by defeating certain NM that go with the 2hr. WHM NM defeated = Bene locked, and so forth.

This is an example of some mob like AV not being broken.

On the other hand AV is broken. Nothing more to it.

IMO the fact that people have killed it just proves the point that it's broken. This mob is glitched to where it will just randomly stop using certain abilites. Has anyone killed AV since they fixed the Wall of Justice?

Yes, I've done Dynamis - Buburimu. I've beat it. That NM is weakened by defeating NM's that lock his abilities. Dynamis - Valkurm work the very same way. However, those NM's are up from the start, and are in the same zone. they are not pop NM's, like in sea. On the other hand, these NM's drop weapons 100% of the time. I doubt its a coincidence.

Either way, you can't compare AV to him and come to the conclusion that AV is broken because killing the other NM's doesn't lock his abilities, like it do in a completely other zone and expansion pack. Comparing AV to AB is like comparing apples to bananas and say that bananas have to be broken, because they don't have the same shape and taste.

For all we know he were broken before, causing his abilities to get randomly locked by NOT doing what you're intended to do. Just because people haven't figured out what to do yet doesn't mean its broken.

You can compare it to Parade Gorget. People assumed it were broken, unreleased, or not ment to be obtained yet, just because no one had figured out what to do. Eventually SE told us what to do, and then suddenly everyone have it. People assumed that the Strange Aparatus were of no use and inactive, untill someone figured out the secret password. Do remember that no one had figured it out for a long time. Roughly 2-3 years if I remember right.

Just because no one have figured out how to beat him, does not mean he's broken. You can't come with the assumption that he's broken just because they fixed the only known way to kill him. People relied on a glitch and bug to kill him, it was obviously not the way he were ment to be killed. I repeat, Just because people haven't figured out the true way to beat him, does not mean he's broken, nor unbeatable. That's that.

Then this disprooves your whole Justice Sword theory. If no one knows how to beat AV then no one knows. NO ONE.

No, it doesn't disprove my theory. It means no one knows how to beat him. As in, the theory haven't been proved nor disproved. Just because no one currently knows, doesn't mean the theory is automatically wrong.

Has anyone tried speaking to the Luminian NPCs while AV is up? Pretty sure they all speak stuff about him normally...

Assuming SE did intend to release the info in regards to AV, and not JoL, if nuking with the correct element on the correct day stopped the regen...

... really stretches his neck for this one ...

Do you think the Obi's and Gorget's - which are obtained through killing sea mobs - have any add effects? (Gain full benefits of xxxxxxday.) Perhaps this wasn't as innoccuous as we think it is

Lol, if someone knew it to be true, it would be a fact, not a theory.

No, no, no, the weapons would be impossible to solve puzzle not AV. If there was a "charge" effect then there would be a latent on the weapon, there is not. I'm sorry but SE would never put a system with a hidden latent that work by killing 1 family of mob or killing nm's in a entire different zone, the entire idea is off the wall. The ks/trial weapon has a rezeda stone (key to solving) it called the latent on the weapon. Quest have a rezeda stone it the cs that pretty much tell you where to go. Pop mobs have a rezeda stone it the ??? where you have to pop them and that they can be data mined.
