Absolute Virtue

But what does that have to do with it working at different lvls? For all you know 75 could be the 8 hits.

first off the elemental staffs are a give me because the have been dang near every ff game since the beginning. Ifrit's bow does however only work if ifrit is out, plus it drops from ifrit. shiva claws same thing except no latant. The carby mitts, and dune boots have no other stats but def and have names that give them away to what they do. The jailor weapons however are great the way they are, and have no such tell sign. Also none the above item's are "unlockable" effects.

Dune Boots have no indication of how they work. Even just knowing that all Cactaur and Sabotender use Hand to Hand, you'd still be very clueless as to what they do. The only reason we know that Kung Fu, Wulong, and Dunes do what they do is because someone figured it out.

The Weapon Skill quests and KS30 weapons. No where in the quest for the Skills does it say that you need to use weaponskills, or that skillchains grant a bonus. No one knew what to do with the KS30 weapons when they were introduced. There was never an official announcement teaching people how to solve those. Everything was hidden, and had to be figured out.

Shiva's claws have no effect on shiva, nor do they gain any effect from shiva. The name for Dune boots, have NOTHING to do with kick attacks; so you're still a moron. Dune boots and Carby mitts have nothing that indicates their real strength, because the effect is HIDDEN. So if the jailor weapons have a hidden effect you wouldn't see it either, why can you not understand what the word hidden means, too many letters? Or maybe it's because we're all spelling the word correctly, do you know what hidan means, or how about hiddin?

No shit they're not unlockable effects, no one ever said they were. The whole point was that it is well within the realm of possibility for SE to add hidden unlockable effects, since all of those aspects have been included in the game already, just not combined.

Edit: and the "elemental weapons" have been in the other FF games in completely different forms. Normally they are just an item that when you use it casts the spell, absolutely nothing about enhancing the damage/effect from a spell you already have. Fail more.

it all in the name Octave
That still has absolutely nothing to do with it's actual hidden effects. The only reason anyone had any idea that it had multi-hit capability is because it replaced the krakken club. Based off the name alone, an effect that helps bards playing/singing would be infinitely more logical than multi-hit.

it about the integers that the key part of that.

Keep believing that, moron. For all you(and anyone) know, it exists on several items that seem worthless.

It's just the same thing as the DRK Quest Greatsword, which I've noticed you completely went on a retarded tangent about. A hidden counter, which has to be met to unlock the next step in the quest. But instead of a quest, it's a hidden additional effect. There is no turning it in. It unlocks something you do not know about.

you see though it a Quest, The quest tell you take this sword and feed it with souls or something within those lines, which the npc is the gauge if you take it to him before done he will tell you it not ready, so that is a bad example. It still go back point there is no gauge till when said weapon is ready, let it be npc or or erased stat.

Way to completely ignore what I say while replying. The only reason why people figured out it had a multi-hit effect is because it replaced the krakken club. If the krakken had never existed, everyone would have thought it boosted singing skill or helped instruments based on the name alone. You're an idiot, you can't even keep your examples straight, even more so since you fail at making them.

You're just a retard. Let's say that the weapons do have a hidden unlockable effect. By your logic, it has a gauge because if you haven't met the conditions, you'll never see the effect. Wow, you know what? That sounds just like the KS30 weapons.

We have hidden additional effects that work against specific mobs. The sky Wind throwing items.
We have effects that require hundreds of weaponskills to be used to activate. KS30 weapons.

Is it really that hard to believe they can be combined? Are you really that dimwitted?

yes, but the whole reason the club was added in first place was because they placed the kraken in a bcnm, and people was whining that they was leaving that nm (LoZ) without a purpose.

The name still has absolutely nothing with the different levels having different multi-hits. Because it's a replacement for the krakken, everyone thought it would be exactly the same as the krakken. Then, SE did something completely different with the effect, something that had never been done before. They could effortlessly do the same thing with hidden unlockables. Your lack of logic is staggering.

it not that they can't, it that the won't, because it not logical. sky wind drop from the gods that there

p.s ks weapon have stats that are added and it says so right on the weapon.
Antarctic Wind, Arctic Wind, East Wind, Zephyr(west wind) drop off the corresponding direction and works on it opposite direction and not unlock, even though I know where you was going with the a+B=c, but it don't work like that.

No shit. Added. That was my entire point. Adding an effect after completing the counter. Theres no indication whatsoever about how close you are to unlocking them, or even how to do it in the first place.

Antarctic Wind, Arctic Wind, East Wind, Zephyr(west wind) drop off the corresponding direction and works on it opposite direction and not unlock, even though I know where you was going with the a+B=c, but it don't work like that.

And when gods were put in, I'm sure nobody had any idea what the fuck to do with the winds. The only reason you know it works the way it does is because it was documented well before you even saw them.

Know what else "isn't logical?" Hiding the effects of Dancing Dagger and Vorpal Sword. I mean, we've known weapons could give weaponskills before, so why hide them! It makes no sense!

But guess what. They did it.

Are you one of the head designers for FFXI? Unless you are, you have absolutely no basis for saying something that could easily be added will never be added to the game.

something that could easily be added will never be added to the game.

or already exists. Theres plenty of items that make people wonder why they were added, and are never given a thorough testing, then tossed aside as pointless. Look at the Platoon weapons. They're mostly subpar for being level 20 weapons.

notice every hidden effect that is unlockable has the words (latent <insert stat here> key word being "unlockable". Majority of the other, most likely all if you did back ground check hint to what there effect do. Now as I said before it is possible the jail weapons have hidden effect and the effect come within there name, but unlockable is highly improbable.

Just stop talking. Seriously, stop. No typing

Or as you'd put it "no tipin"
