Absolute Virtue

People still aint killed this thing? WTF.

Every time someone kills it, SE patches that strategy so it won't work.

Can't wait until someone tries to have 500 kraken drks in a giant line all do their thing, raising and using cor 2hr to get them up and etc...

Cause that's the day SE patches kraken drks if they win.

Ebon Panels. True story.

I found out my friend was on Remora server and hes part of the LS that did the original wall glitch kill of him.

He told me they tried kraken darks on this newest form of him only got him down to 83% heh..

This coming from people that do 10 sec Bahamut V2 runs must mean it's pretty damn rough to do at the moment lol

Ok, just posted this on Allakhazam. Here i'm directing towards Kaizen Integral Pers etc, whoever pops JoL/AV. Have you guys tried this yet:

Just a FYI, i'm at JoL spawn area right now. There's the 3 aerns around the ??? and then in the valley just outside the spawn area there are 6 more aerns and 4 Hpemdes. Total of 13 monsters (maybe not just aerns are connected to AV?) Next time someone gets AV to pop, I think all 13 mobs should be killed. Also, i'd like to know, has that tactic been taken against AV yet?

Perhaps not all 2hrs can be locked? And a quick question: Mijin Gakure, does AV do this and then the Wynavs blow up, or is it just the Wynavs that do Mijin Gakure? Since there are 13 monsters here, maybe Call Wyvern and Mijin Gakure can't be locked? Just my speculations :)

Edit: apparently an Om'yovra comes down into this valley sometimes too, as i just found out >.< so... 14 monsters total? lol

Also, Any chance i can come watch/help? :) I just like taking out NMs ^^

when AV uses Mijin Gakure, his wynavs blows up. When he uses Astral Flow, similar to the way Love work, his pets do attacks simultaneously.

ouch!!

also maybe it not that you just have to kill them but maybe have to kill them with virtue weapons. Plus believe there a shark or 2 plus a squid family that wanders around there to.

yeah, but the squids and sharks are at the point that ur kinda getting out of the valley close to JoL spawn

Wouldn't it be funny if it was something stupid like he can still drop his items even if he's CFH on and you basically need a lot of parties wailing on him, hahaha. Anyways, I find this whole weapon theory to be pretty well paired with what he says, it's not that far out in left field.

I find it perfectly believable that

1) The virtue weapons could have a big part in killing AV.

2) You need to power up said weapons by either killing x amount of Aerns or a certain type of Aern (or a combination of the two conditions, killing x amount of a certain Aern based on what weapon you're using)

3) You need to use the weapon on AV and/or even have hate to trigger a hidden "Absolute Virtue Killer" type effect.

SE can do, and have often proven (even just by making AV) that they can do whatever the hell they want. It's just plain ignorance to say that because something hasn't already been done in game that it can't be done ever. And this seems like something perfectly plausible, whether there's any visible means to tell if the effect will kick in beforehand or not.

I've heard many more theories with less conviction to back them up all tried for fun. This isn't even that hard to do, make a pt/alliance with the virtue weapons, and have everyone go to town on Aerns, one at a time. Even use them on each NM up to AV. Why hasn't anyone tried this yet?

idk Just throwing this out there and i am not sure if this has been mentioned in the thread yet (probably has). Anyways, a lot of people have tied both the mobs in the area along with the sea weapons having some kind of enfeebling effect on AV's two hour abilities. Maybe killing the surrounding aerns in the with virtue weapons would charge the weapon with some kind of latent ability to then attack AV and deactivate his abilities. This all relates to the type of job the aern has that you kill. Ex. Kill a blm aern in the area while AV is poppped by a member in the alliance with a virtue weapon would give that person the capability to deactivate AV's manafront.
Wouldn't mind CFH and trying it out. I think it's worth a shot.

I think the fact that he's a dragoon is a clue. Probably need a dragoon alliance w/ no support to kill it. Otherwise it goes all crazy with 2hrs from other jobs.... like it does now.

lol

God help me for necroing this...
I know a billion methods have been looked over...and I checked through this thread as well as BG, but didn't see it mentioned there nor here...

Seems too obvious to even assume such, but just thought I'd bring it up - maybe he needs to be hit with the weapons in a specific order? The final boss in 7th Saga (an older Enix game) required he have the 7 runes used on him in a specific order...seems a bit too obvious that maybe the Virtue weapons hit him in a certain order, but I haven't seen anyone mention that being tried, somehow. I'm figuring maybe it'd based on the virtue numbers or something, but dunno...just a thought.

Sorry if this was already mentioned - I looked thru several threads and didn't see it ever brought up.

Quite honestly, I have never seen anything like this suggested. That's an awesome speculation. Very well may have something to do with why the weapons are look-alikes of their runic counterparts. Great hypothesis!

If that's the case, /DRG for Jump would be the perfect sub for that task - ensure hitting one time with each weapon without engage/disengage getting lagged up.

i thought someone woulda tried that already... usually the most obvious strats that probably work... the things ppl easily overlook.. etc etc.

Just a quick info for u.I was in Home, the Shell broke like 1 year ago and Antares like 6 Months ago.Greeeeeez Nig^^

Is it at all possible that the NQ aerns in the area need to be dead to disable the 2hrs? it seems to me that almost every job is represented in the NQ aerns, it may be a clue to beating them
