Ok, so what kind of balance do you SAMs attempt to achieve to optimize your acc, atk, and ws damage? From what I've seen, SAM seems to be one of the more accurate 2-handers (with DRG being in first place IMO). So what are your recommendations?

except agressor > Hasso.

Im talkin about natural acc, not including abilities. Or am I wrong on that assumption?

then sam is equal to every other 2hander with an A+

All 2 hand jobs have basically the same base acc, dunno where these assumptions come from.

Drg is the only one with the Acc bonus job trait?

TWO acc bonuses no? Anyways, those of you who are sams, plz, what kind of balance do you attempt to reach to optimize atk, acc, and ws damage?

answer is prolly, what are u fighting and whats your SJ. Obviously different gear for a kirin or a EP.

SAM WS seem more accurate because the first hit of every WS has a ACC bonus. All the best SAM WS use one hit WS while every other two handed job uses multihit WS. So it would seem as if SAM WS are more accurate. On that note, you really don't need to put a lot of ACC into your YGK, since you already get like ACC+20 to 30 ish bonus on it.

Sams main ws's Y/G/K have a 75% STR modifier so I stack a lot of str for my SA ws's. If its a normal ws then I go str and acc. I don't care much about dex and it usually isn't in there.

The only slot where I actually care enough about the dex to sacrifice a little str on is gloves. I use myochin +1 over Alk's bracelets due to the 13 dex difference which is pretty big. I get dex from other pieces, but there's always STR/acc/attack on them as well.

So focus on STR and acc then. How often (if at all) do Y/G/K miss on IT mobs? In exp pts 60+ how often do you /thf vs /nin?

War is the best sub until /nin gets you utsu: Ni. Unless you are doing SATAWS on a tank /thf isn't that great either.

there really is no mainstay balance for all mobs. but for the questionable choice in equipment...imo

head: ace's helm > askar helm > usukane/w.turban

neck: justice > Ancient Torque > peacock amulet

body: many to list but i would go with usukane haramaki

hands: dusk+1 > hachiyu > bando/myochin+1/enkidu

feet: usukane > enkidu/amir/Nobushi

Thats endgame though, im talking about your run of the mill stuff up until you can equip for endgame.

What do you want a meleeing set or a ws set?

uhh.

walahara turban / optical hat
peacock charm
brutal
bushi
haub+1
myochin+1
rajas
ulthalm
forager's
swift belt / life belt
byakko's haidate / shura haidate
amir boots / saotome sune-ate

that would be a simple set that would get you threw most things, switching in acc gear when needed per mob. or just use sushi or meat if you know the mob is evasive or not.

or are you looking for a AH-set you can just buy?

I stick with alky over the kote +1 before I dont feel that I have a lack in accuracy. For me, I am a taru so i prefer to have more str to cover my inborn weakness.

Going with Myochin +1 over Alk's isn't for the accuracy, it's for the improved crit chance. 13 dex is a sizable improvement to your chance to crit; especially if you're gearing for reaching the next crit tier.

Which of SAM's ws's are critable without SA? Just a curiosity question more than anything else, didn't realize they were able to crit being mostly one-hit/two-hit.
