For starters; I'm quoting directly out of my most recent LJ entry as it gives enough background information to be a coherant opener.

One of our members got his account frozen mid-jack and when he got it back there was a Gil delivery caught in mid-transaction to an "Odidongbei" which is clearly an RMT account meant to fence stolen goods. A quick /sea all Odi revealed several players who use "Odi[insert-rest-of-name-here]". Nearly ALL of these accounts were /anon and in zones with Auction Houses. I went and tracked a couple of them down. Each one had no gear equipped whatsoever and had a number in their little boxes that pop up when you examine them.

Taking the "Odi" name to FFXIAH.com revealed that there were TONS of "Odi" mules in existance. Going a step further, others in my LS report that other servers have similiar mules that begin with the first three letters of any given server's name.

REPORT THESE PLAYERS. When asked why you're reporting them; cite their AH history. Most of these accounts literally never leave town and yet you can plainly see them selling Haguns and other very common, expensive items that they have stolen from real players like you and me. A great many of them are still level n00b with no subjob. The fact that they're carrying and transferring millions of gil should throw up all kinds of red flags if we push for an investigation on these accounts.

I haven't asked for permission to report the names of the stolen account (we had two jacked in my endgame shell) so I'll keep from throwing names around without having been given the okay. Unfortunately my ability to look into this is limited to just Odin; but I would love to see if there are indeed other mules doing the same things on other servers. Find them! Find them and help call enough attention to these bastards to help the Special Task Force get its eye on them. Sure they'll just crop up again under different names; but damnit. These victimized players deserve some form of revenge. We need another wave of mass bannings pronto.

I have no idea if this is really appropriate for the Advanced Players boards; but it seemed like the kind of thing that would be better off being shared on a wider scale somehow. I do hope this helps at least somewhat. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Quoted in the spoiler below is a player calling a GM to reveal the mules selling stolen items. As you can clearly see, it's really out of the GM's hands to make a detailed report to the STF. If any type of RMT activity is noticed, it's best to send your information to the STF asap, rather than calling a GM. Considering you are the witness, your details will be much more clear than that of an outside person, such as a GM.

To file a report with the STF, use the following in PlayOnline Viewer: Service and Support > Support > E Mail Support > Special Task Force

My GM apparently wasn't paying enough attention to figure out quite what was going on here. I hope someone else can have better luck than me.

The common stolen equipment holders are all named "First three letters of their server"dongbei.

A simple search of Levdongbei, Bahdongbei, Quedongbei, among other ***dongbei, will all turn up very questionable sales history. Players who have examined these mules in the game also noticed they wear no equipment and all have a number in their bazaar comment.

Nice Dowzer, I think it would be also good that if anyone finds some more RMT mules on our server that they could post their names here so that we can report them too.

We should report Tarutaruobject. Y'know, the one always making holy water while sitting next to the AH *ALL DAY* in Port Jeuno?

lolGMSubina is a fucking moron... hate dealing with that one D:

OT: Intersting find.

***changmao seems to be another popular one.

Running searches on the [server name's first three letters] appears to yield interesting results.

SE fails in so many levels. And it took me not getting on the game to actually realize and for it to hit me - how fucked up SE treats its customers.

From the GM's to the Online reps to even the fucking game producers - they will give us no info, no help, just plain bullshit. It's a great game run by a tonne of retards.

Hackings are the big icing on the top of the pile of shit they've built. Had they gone through the trouble to actually help out people who have been hacked, they wouldn't be watching the tsunami of clients bailing on their game every day.

Same person who hacked Maat/Ramennodle's account. Sold Ramennoodle's Byine+1(god knows he only one on server that has one ..no one makes those for profit)

Sold off Maat's Scythe and Ring he JUST bought too.

Seems they hacked someones WHM account recently too.

God damn it SE, fix your shit and delete these bastards

This is the one that got meghan. Palysmile just hope that upon set back they keep the signings or she will be heart broken.

Damn bastards... and god damn SE. Way to not know how to properly serve your customers with proper customer service.

You know, instead of keep telling qcdn member how SE fail at protecting us from hackers... have you have time to report those name to STF? even tho they don't do shit, but if we spam them with hacker names and such, i'm sure they will do something...

remember the online peition we did? Did SE do something after it? all we need to do is to give SE some suggestion how to make FFXI better and help them ban hacker and RMTer

The reason I posted this here is because I no longer have access to POL email. I cannot send reports to the STF from Scwall's account. He lost his password a long time ago, as well as his registration keys, and it can't be reset.

Have you ever heard of anyone sending STF a well documented report?

Everyone that I've heard of reporting to the STF has always come back with positive feedback, RMT in the report were gone a few days after sending it.
