If you ever find yourself in a position of naming a character, linkshell, or anything else that requires direct input of an in-game alias...

IF THE NAME U WERE WANTING IS TAKEN, FIND ANOTHER NAME

DONT ADD EXTRA LETTERS IN YOUR NAME, ITS RETARDED AND SHOWS YOUR TOTAL LACK OF CREATIVITY!!

For example:
(any names similar to any real person with such retardation is purely coincidental)
Gandalfff
Sephirothhh
Aaeriss
Starfirre
Tinnny
Barrrney
Retaardd

Everytime I see a name like that it just makes me wanna punch babies! grrr, just dont do it gd. ty

i often don't invite ppl to pt just for having stupid names.
 
I find this to be a flame of merit, even if it's silly.

I too want to punch babies if I see a "Sephirrothhhh" or a "DarkLordXX" et al.

Hence my naming scheme:

Tristamgreen
Tristamred
Tristamblue
Tristamwhite
 
you can add qcdn's "hang man, can opener, 3 lines, star" to the list of stupid names.

Oh, my opinions. NINJAR EDIT:

Don't use "u" for "you" in FFXI. It makes you look like a spelling gimp.
 
I love this flame and agree... be creative, people!

Still, it could be a lot worse. Could you imagine the horror if FFXI allowed players to use numbers and symbols?

some people are straight edge and usually denote themselves by putting xinsertnamex

fyi straightedge in a nutshell- dont smoke, drink,do drugs etc. no premarital sex unless it's with someone in a "good" relationship

people that are straightedge also have tatoos of 'X's on them as well, on teh intarweb they sometimes put it on their name

so it's basically like a subculture and for those that dont associate with religion.

Spelling. Damnit, how hard is it to spell the words, "definitely (definately/definetly)", "coming (comming, goddamn i die everytime I see that)", and "waisted (context: time wasted)"?
