Aht Urghan CC Guild Campers

Ok I had 4. I put them up in my bazaar for 1 million each, to stop me dropping them as I dropped the first one I got. Someone just paid 1 million for one. Are people that lazy and stupid?

Totally serious, there aren't any on AH and also I wont buy them (not unless I spend all tomorrow and dont get the rest). Ah well now I can offer 1million for a piece of cloth lol.

I can't remember. I'm now being told i'm a gilseller for selling them for 1 million gil. Oh and apparently I only need 1. Yes 1 cocoon makes 3 silks which make 1 cloth. Also i'm I wont drop them apparently. Funny that I dropped one before. There a million gil to stop people from buying them, if someone's stupid enough to pay that then it's their own fault. Some people really piss me off.

I think we need President Bush to not only look into Oil Price Gouging but FFXI coccon gouging as well, i was happy trying to play with Pup but now im going back to other jobs that people are not going to level right now, just wait it out. I was pissed when I couldn't get materials but now im just like forget it ill come back to it eventually, plus i mean how many parties can have 2PUP, 2COR, 2BLU in it?
 
It's very simple... Put down the puppet, and wait, like I'm doing. Look at puppet part prices. They used to be 500k. There are people who paid over 6 million for their puppet parts. Now I can get a Strobe off the AH for 50k, 20k on a good day. Probably the entire set for 300-400k. And it'll keep dropping until it evens out with the materials cost, because people are greedy idiots and will undercut each other until the end of time.

The reason prices are falling on PUP parts is because the dust has settled from the crazy rich idiots spraying gil out their ass like explosive diarrhea so that they can be the first to level 75 PUP... a job that has no AF, and none of the other things associated with a finished job (Subligar, JSE, Relic, quested WS, etc). There's no point in going crazy trying to level it, because what reward will there be? The title of "First ever PUP to 75, gimped without AF since level 52"? PUP does not demand it be leveled to 75 at the fastest pace possible anymore than PLD or WAR does. Just put the job down for a few days, or a week, or a few weeks, whatever it takes until the new job craze dies down and the guild campers go back to Selbina. Then walk in, buy the cocoons you need, and level your new job. Or keep camping the guild now, and eventually get lucky with the materials you need.

By the way, is it down to 100k each? Because that'd be down 60% from monday. AKA fast dropping and soon to bottom out.


Oh, and yes, the idiot who bought a cocoon for a million, when they're 500k on AH, is an Idiot First Class(TM). As are the ones complaining about the price in your bazaar, because they're not obligated to buy it. Next thing they'll be complaining about the girl with a Red Rose up for 9,999,999 gil in the bazaar. Oh... wait, they already do. >.>
 
To the OP: Seriously, what are you thinking? this thread Does NOTHING to solve your problem. It only makes it worse. Now there are more people out there who know of this and will take advange. :nono:

ps: i flame stupid brazil for never gettin crap, so i have to order ToAU from Amazon.com to my family in the US so they can ship it over, taking god knows how long....

Mai Ikari's right. Give it enough time for the craze to die down, and prices will drop back to reasonnable levels. As for increasing supply... anyone thought about harvesting?

Unfortunately, the only source for Wamoura Cocoon besides the guild is a level 75+ Wamouracampa... Apparently it's a normal mob, but with only a few spawn points inside of Halvung. So can't exacly harvest (I assume you meant farm) it.
 
Nah, I'm talking about HELM, "Harvest Point" harvesting, with sickles and all. First time I answered the BLU-quest NPC's questions, he ended telling me to try my luck at harvesting in the woodlands or thickets, so I figure they have HELM activities in the expansion areas too.

And seeing how Crawler Cocoons are obtainable by harvesting in Giddeus, there's a likeliness Wamoura Cocoons can be obtained in a similar way.
